Theda left after dropping that line, and Debra felt a twinge of unease.
Theda was clearly trouble. Just then, her phone rang. It was the manager of that salon.
The manager cheerfully announced, “Ms. Frazier, the equipment you ordered has arrived. It’s at Warehouse No. 1. Would you like to come and inspect it?”
Debra agreed, “Yeah. Please ask the delivery guys to wait. I’m on my way.
She hung up the phone and saw Liza coming down the stairs.
Liza was pretty but a bit spoiled. The good part was that she had a keen interest in beauty programs. Debra’s plan needed someone like her.
‘Why are you looking at me like that?” Liza asked, uncomfortable about Debra’s gaze.
“Weren’t you eager for some beauty programs the other day? Want to come with me?” Debra asked.
Liza smelled a rat, eying her warily. ‘Debra was never a kind–hearted person. There has to be more to it.‘
But despite her better judgment, she soon found herself in Debra’s sports car.
“What is this place? I won’t settle for anything ordinary,” Liza said, wrinkling her nose.
“Don’t worry. We’ll go straight to the source. Top–notch equipment, guaranteed,” Debra assured her.
in Liza felt something was off but couldn’t quite put her finger on it until their car pulled up front of a warehouse.
“So, your source is the factory?” Liza was bewildered.
Debra led her into the warehouse, where thousands of machines were stored. The delivery guys, in their thirties, wore plain clothes, but their tattooed arms and dyed hair stood out.
Cigarettes were dangling from their mouths, and their demeanor was arrogant. Almost instantly, Debra perceived their underground origins.
In this case, if they didn’t take the machines, these guys would likely teach them a lesson.
“Have these machines been inspected?” Debra asked.
The manager stepped forward. “Absolutely. If you’d like, we can do a random inspection.”
Debra casually pointed to a box. “Let’s see that one.”
The box was brought down, and indeed, it contained genuine machines. Debra raised an eyebrow and pulled out two bundles of cash from her pocket.

The delivery guys‘ eyes lit up at the sight of the money.
“I appreciate your hard work, gentlemen. Here’s a little reward. Buy yourselves some drinks,” Debra said, handing the money to the manager.
The leader of the group took the money. “These are all genuine, Miss. If you need anything else, just let us know.”
“Good,” Debra similed. “Actually, I do have some more business I’d like to discuss with you.”
