Chapter 131
eto Ramon,” Alpha Ferins said to his first son, Cade, as they sat in the empty field at Silverpaw.
“I sent a message to
Cade turned sharply towards him, and squinted his eyes.
“On the eve of a full moon“” He asked, trying to search for the end goal of that mission.
“Yes. I have been waiting for the perfect time to respond, and it is today.”
Cade scoffed. “You do know the messenger is not going to leave his pack alive? That’s if he can even gain entrance into it”
Ferins smiled mischievously. He loved his children dearly, especially his first son, but they could be a bit daft.
“That’s the point. The
messenger was a necessary sacrifice. Ramon knows where I stand now.”
“Where do you stand, father!”
He looked at Cade, and his smile brightened.
“Your mother hated me, even before she saw me. She said she heard I was a beast in human flesh. Turned out she was my fated mate when we eventually met” He expertly changed the topic.
“Don’t change the topic, father,” Cade said, not letting the conversation get derailed.
“I’m not changing the topic, Cade. I’m making a point. From what you saw of our relationship, how would you describe it”
“Mother worshipped the ground you walked on, and it was the same for you. I’ve never seen two people more in love. I don’t even think that kind of love exists anymore, he explained with passion in his eyes.
Ferins bobbed his head in satisfaction. His point was close to being driven home.
It’s going to be the same for Ramon, and your sister. First comes hatred, then comes attraction, and love follows. That’s if we don’t nip it in the bud
“What? First you
allow Sonia to stay kidnapped by that fool, and now you want to forcefully bring her home! If you knew we were going to go get her, why didn’t you make that call in the early stages?”
“Good question, I didn’t know they were fated mates. My decision was made the day I found out they were. Sonia would soon have to take a side, just like her mother had to do many years ago, Guess the side your mother did!”
His squinted eyes widened in understanding “Yours,” he muttered.
“Mine,” he breathed out. “I’ll never forget the look on her father’s face when she insisted on staying with the monster, instead of returning home to him, so he could sell her off to another alpha he could control. I’d die first before I let the same thing happen to me,” he said with a fierceness shining in his eyes.
Cade didn’t respond immediately. He studied his father closely. What he saw was quite sad.
He saw a circle with no end. It was just history repeating itself.
If only history knew Ferins was born a fighter. He would fight it till the very end.
He just wondered if he was going to emerge victorious.
There was no bond as strong as love, from what he witnessed with his
parents
Hop their bond
If Sonia really falls in love with Ramon, and Ramon with her, could anything stop
He didn’t know which side to stand in all of this.
Being o
on his father’s side was supposed to be a given. He was his father, after all.
But Sonia was also his sister. The girl had gone through enough for someone so young.
It wasn’t going to be an easy journey, but it didn’t stop his curiosity.

Chapter 131
“What message did you send, father!” He asked, in hopes that his father trusted him enough to let him in.
“An eye for an eye. Ferins smile returned.
“What I’m hearing is you’re ready for war?” He cocked an inquiring brow.
“We’re always ready for war. It’s the way of the wolves of Silverpaw. And so far, we’ve not lost any
it is today. It won’t be an easy task. He
“But this is Ramon we’re talking about. He did the impossible by raising his pack from the ashes into what also has one of the greatest weapons. The possibility of love. Even if we have the fighters, how can we defeat that!”
“I have seven sons. Cade. Seven strong boys who can win against any pack army in battle. Just the seven of you. Ramon is not going to be different. He’s not going to even stand a chance. And he’s never going to get a chance to reap the benefits of a love like that. I’m taking my daughter from him.” he said confidently
“What do you need me to do?” Cade rose to his feet, and bowed.
He may not know what the end of this story would be, but he knew he had a duty to his father, his pack, and most importantly, his sister.
“Gather your brothers. Tell them that immediately after the full moon’s celebration, they must head back to the borders. Let Ramon bring his best man. Whoever wins the borders is free to go into the rivals pack. And by whoever, I mean, you seven
“Are we going to fight his warriors alone?”
“Of course not. You’ll have some other men with you. Don’t tell me you’re afraid?” He sent him a piercing gaze
“Im only afraid of one person. And that fear is borne out of respect. You father. Just you.”
“Good. The plan is simple. We’re going to get Sonia back, and then I’ll have a hopefully not too long chat with Ramon.”
Cade bowed, and turned around. It was going to be good news for some of his brothers.
Just at the top of his head, Wolf would be the happiest of them all.
But he wondered what Seth would have to say about this.
And as if he conjured him by thinking about him, he bumped into him on his way to gather his brothers.
“That look in your
your eyes,” S
“Where?” Cade asked.
Seth pointed. “I’ve seen it before,” he said.
“On the battleground. Father has made a decision!”
“Let’s go get our brothers,” Cads replied, walking past him.
