my room at silverpaw
He used to sneak into my room, and stroke my head whilst he thought I was asleep.
Every night, I would secretly look forward to his presence. He never came all the time, but the few times he did, I was always happy.
“No. me.”
I wiped the sleep off my eyes with the back of my hand, and when I blinked, I saw Ramon clearly.
“You’re awake, finally,” he said.
I tried to get up, but he stopped me, by pushing me back to the bed.
“Carl said you must not move. You’re exhausted, and you need to rest.”
“Yes, but Ruby. She needs my help. I protested lightly, as I tried to get up again.
“Hey,” he toppled over me, and pinned my body back to the bed. “You can’t, alright? Ruby can wait”
I looked at him through the lens of confusion. He was picking me over one of his wolves. That was some new development.
“Why are you being so nice to me?” I couldn’t help but ask.
If I remembered our last conversation clearly, he said he couldn’t help hurting me
“And you promised to make him change,” a voice in my head said.
I froze for a few seconds, my memories returning.
He accused me of betraying him again. It made me wonder why he always had that thought in mind.
“I’m just trying to do the right thing,” he said.
I knew he was lying. There was something more. Something he wasn’t telling me.
Just like Ivy was lying to me, he also was lying to me.
His lund reached for my forehead, and just like my father used to do, he began stroking it.

“Do you
want to get s
some more rest, Sonia?” He questioned, staring intensely into my eyes.
“The kind of rest I want, you unfortunately can’t provide it”
I threw my face to the side, but he didn’t get the message, and let me be,
He turned my head back, so I could look at him.
The tears in my eyes had begun to roll down my cheeks.
“It’s not fair,” I said through a tear filled voice.
“What’s not fair?” He asked.
“That I’m your fated mate. I wish I wasn’t. You could have killed me already, and called it even,” I explained.
I had been holding on to that one for a while, but the feeling had consistently grown for a while now.

Chapter 133
If only the moon goddess didn’t deem it fit for us to be fated. He could have had me killed, without the burden of guilt on his conscience.
What use was I alive, if I couldn’t even be happy for more than a minute?
He wiped the tears rolling down my eyes, the expression in his eyes, one I couldn’t decipher.
“Do you want to die that badly!!
“Yes,” I replied, surprising myself.
“Nah,” he shook his head. “I think you’re lying.”
“Why? I
If you were in my shoes, wouldn’t you want to die, and end the pain!”
“No. And didn’t you say you were going to teach me how to not hurt you? Why do you always contradict yourself?”
“Because I’m exhausted, Ramon!” 1 let out in frustration.
Startled by my outburst, his squinted eyes narrowed on
That’s why you need to rest. Look, it’s not easy, I know, I wish things were different. But there’s nothing you could possibly do to erase the damag your father did to this pack. Absolutely nothing.”
“My death could. You would have taken something important from my father. You can then call it even.”
“Really? That simple, huh? And what about the curse?”
My brow furrowed curiously. “What curse?”
He snickered. “Don’t tell me you forgot about the curse you kept yapping about, already
“The curse!” My eyes snapped in remembrance.
1 tried to straighten up, forgetting he was hovering over me.
He pushed me back, and leaned into my face.
“You really need to stop trying to move up,” he breathed across my face.
I swallowed hard, as raw heat began to creep all ov
over my body
My wolf awoke, and was already squirming inside of me
To be this close to Ramon was a dream, she always welcomed him with open arms.
Sometimes, I couldn’t blame her. He really was a beautiful
il man.
My eyes went to his bulging muscles. He was still shirtless. Just like he was back in Ivy and my house.
“I should.” I said.
“Good girl. Now, about the curse!”
“You don’t even believe in it. I let out a nervous laugh. “Are you trying to stop me from moving by acting

“Honey, if I wanted to distract you, we’d be doing something way different on this bed,” he said, his eyes raking through me recklessly,
My wolf kicked with excitement, but I was able to stifle her forwardness, before she could purr,
“So you don’t really want t
to hear about the curse?” I asked.
I really want to hear about the curse, Sonia,” he replied
“Do you mind?” I looked at his body. “You’re kinda heavy”
He chuckled, and rolled to the side of the bed. 2/3

“Lorena is there to tell you that, I guess.”“

my lips the second the words left my mouth. It was always the case with me. Everything would be going fine, until I said something stupid.
“Are you jealous of Lorena, or is this your way of trying to distract me, so you don’t tell me about the curse?”
I turned to my side, and faced him, Feeling emboldened, I smiled,
“Honey, if I wanted to distract you, we’d be doing something way different on this bed,” I mimicked him.
He looked taken aback for a few seconds, until he blinked, and swallowed hard.

A knock sounded on the door, cutting off whatever it was he was about to say.
