Chapter 177
A whole five minutes after Ferins opened the floor, no one asked a question
Seth couldn’t hold himself anymore, and decided he was just going to begin.
“I want to know what the story is between you, and Ramon’s Lather. How the war started, and why you had
had to destroy bloodmoon,” he said.
The brothers turned to him. He could feel Cade’s warning stare, because it almost burned a hole through his heart.
However, he didn’t give a toss. He was aligned with his wolf, and they both wanted to know what was the point of this entire war
Ferins smiles. Again, Seth had shocked him the most.
He couldn’t believe how much he had underrated him in the past.
The pretty son, who kept quiet, and minded his business.
An alphas dream son, especially because he wasn’t heir.
The rooster had come home to roost though, and it was time for some reason truth telling.
“You don’t have to answer that if you don’t want to,” Jed said.
Ferins looked at him and smiled. For all the bravery he showed, he was still just a child.
Not much older than Sonia was, and she was a child herself.
At least that I was the way he saw it
“I think it’s time I tell you all the truth. So let’s take it back to over two decades ago. This was before most of you were born. I think Cade was just a child. He wouldn’t remember, but Ramon’s father and I were actually friends once,” he said, as his voice took a nostalgic tone, and his eyes wore a distant expression
is his greatest downfall.”
“He was a lot of things,” he continued. “Brave, kind, empathetic, but also very weak. And his weakness was
“How, father!” Caleb asked
“Excellent question. When we were way younger, we had a dream. We were both going to be alpha’s, but we didn’t want our impacts to just stop at that. We wanted to make the world sluke. To write our name in the stones that stands the test of time. We had ambition, and a thirst for adventure.”
Ferins couldn’t help but
smile as
he recalled the good old days.
The days they were inseparable, and felt like they were invincible.
“Then we grew up,” he said, and his voice took on a weary edge. “We became alpha’s like our destiny ensured. Our mates were even friends. Best of -friends. It was just like us. The moon goddess had an obvious clear path for us,” he paused again, his eyes twinkling in anger
The sons exchanged looks. The anger from their father was scary. It was downright terrifying
You see Darius became weak. He forgot. He forgot all of our plans. All our goals. Everything we set out to conquer. But I didn’t forget. I remembered them every waking day of my life. One day, I decided to test my fate, and do some damage. I conquered the very first pack I did, and it sent massive waves around the seven main packs.”
“Without Darius?” Cade asked
He was surprised he had never heard this story. He couldn’t admit it was because he didn’t have the guts to ask,
Anyone could say whatever they liked about Seth, but his bravery wa the reason they were only just getting a backstory, he thought
“He didn’t even know I was going to attack. And when he heard about my victory, I expected for him to be happy, or at the very least, rethink his sudden decision to be weak. But no, he grew angry and resentful. He said I was a bully. The packs were never going to survive. They were dying anyway. Instead of them losing their identity for an eternity, I preserved their dignity. But all Darius could see was a bully, who threatened the
wrak.”
“Did you two sit and talk about things? Perhaps, get each other’s perspective?” Seth asked.

Wolf hissed, before Ferins could respond. “What sit–down? It wasn’t father’s fault the man became weak. They had an ambition that father didn’t give up on. If there’s anyone in the wrong, it was definitely him!”
Wolf had taken sides. He didn’t like any sign of weakness. It irritated him beyond words could describe.
Seth thought it was perfection how the moon goddess had made him practically a giant.
Even his character matched his strength, and physique.
“I’m not asking for anyone to take my side. When I’m done with my story, you can deduce whatever conclusion you decide. It doesn’t change anything for me. Neither does it mean a thing” Ferins shrugged.
“Go on father,” Cade urged.
He nodded, and continued. “I didn’t know all this while he was judging me, he had a lover in one of the packs I was going to attack. For a man who lived by a moral code, it was interesting to discover. When he found out I knew about his lover, and that I was also going to destroy their pack, he finally confronted me”
“A conversation, or with the intention to fight?” Craig asked.
“I would say both, depending on how either was taken. He told me he was going to stop my intentions, and I dared him to do his worst.
“And how did that end?” Castiel asked.
“He defeated my army, of course. His army rather. We lost, and that was the day I vowed never to lose again, and also to sever all friendship ties with Darius..
Ferins eyes took a dark turn, as the day he burned that bridge appeared sharply in his mind.
He closed his eyes for a few seconds, trying to control the fury that rushed him like a hurricane.
“What happened, father? Why did you attack bloodmoon? And how did you succeed!” Seth pushed, because he was yet to get the answer he wanted.
as just as
“I suddenly wanted more. I had conquered everything there was to conquer, and wanted more, What more but the only pack left, that was great as mine? So I set out with that goal in mind.”
He smiled, remembering the day he marched with his army, and burned down bloodmoon.
