Chapter 191
RAMON’S POV
I was surprised. I wasn’t sure yet if it was pleasant or not, but I was surprised that the sons of Ferins granted me a trip to their pack.
My eyes fixated on the path ahead as we drove to the pack.
“Have you been here before?” I heard Jack ask.
He was weird for asking that kind of question, but I did understand.
Thad gone undetected in Silverpaw for three days.
It wasn’t an easy feat. In fact, Freya had played a big part in its possibility.
“How do you think I got Sonia 1 asked sarcastically.
“Yeah, true. But how did you go undetec–oh, you did say you had a spy,” he started and finished off himself.
“Yeah, I said that. Where’s your head at, man? Don’t tell me you’re scared?”
“Scared!” His eyes bulged, as he scoffed.
“Yes, because you’re acting really weird. Pull yourself together. You know Ferins feed on fear.”
“I’m not afraid, Ramon. I don’t know where you got that weird idea from, but Tim not. Just really curious to see how this trip ends.”
And to prove to me he was being honest, he smiled mischievously
Yeah, he was being honest. To him, this was one big adventure.
For an alpha who was supposed to be stationed in one place, he did have such a free spirit, and a thirst for journeys.
“Are you
you seriously not going to return to your pack?” I asked him.
actually peaceful, because people are sensible enough not to attack what belongs to me. Why do I need to be there?” He shrugged. “Well for starters, you’re an alpha, I hope you know what that means?” I waited for him to roll his eyes, before letting out a smile. “Seriously though, I think you need to go back. At least see for yourself what mummy dearest is up to. Deal?”
“As you wish, but not yet,” he replied, and reclined into his seat.
I sighed in momentary defeat. He may have won the battle, but he won’t win the w

My desire for him to return to his pack was rooted in the fact I needed to know what was going on there.

Sonia had to all of this nonsense…
Maybe I’d only ever admit it to my heart, but I was worried.
What if I had treated her so badly, she thought she could experience all the good with Liam?
Was that even possible! She was my fated mate

My mate, and my best friend.
Yeah, I could see how she would be pleased with this twist.
After all, fare is everything but pleasant.

The son’s car look a turn, and I followed their movement.
I wasn’t lost on me that they were purposely sticking to the general path everyone knew, careful not to give up any other entrances.
As minor as that initiative was, it was actually a good one.
Next, the big gate came into focus.
Another thing I wasn’t going to admit to anyone was that the inspiration for the infamous blood moons second gate, came from Silverpaw
The very first time I saw their gate from afar, I was inspired to build one even greater.

But if you thought yourself smug enough to try to penetrate through their gates, your army would surrender to death, quicker than it would take to draw your claws.
“I think we’re here. Their car is slowing down,” Jack pointed out
“Yeah, I muttered, equally slowing down.
It looked like they said a few things to the wolves at the gate.
They turned towards us, and a sparkle formed in their eyes.
I could already guess they had just been told who we were.
Good. I didn’t want any confusion when I passed through that gate.
Their car drove through, and ours followed behind them.
“Wow!” Jack blurted when we entered the pack.
“Yeah,” I replied.
I understood his reaction. I had the same reaction when I first visited silverpaw

For all of the notoriety Ferins had, be put all of the funds he got in the bloodiest way to
Some would consider Silverpaw a very thoughtful built pack.
I dare say, only my pack could rival their architecture.
They continued to drive, and as we followed behind them, I started to see some of the wolves walking about, staring at our car.
An ominous air filtered into space, whispering of the doom that was sure to come from the meeting of such magnitude.
Tasked in it, because no matter what happens in the future, I wouldn’t rest until I have Ferins head.
We passed through two more turns, before finally arriving at the infamous tower.
Through the car windows, I looked at the top most part of the tower.
Sonia was somewhere there. That was how high her room was.
Their car came to a
came to a stop and they hopped out of it.
I stopped mine too, and waited for them to approach us
“Nervous!” Jack asked
“Nope. Just want to get this done with, so I can hopefully return to the pack with Sonia.”
“You really like her, don’t you?”
“Don’t even star.” I hissed.

Seth banged on my window, and I wind down to talk to him.
“You’re not coming out?” He asked.
“I was waiting for an invitation. Now I’ve got one, I’ll come out.”
He nodded, and stepped aside for me to open my door.
“You ready?” Jack asked, his hand holding on to his door handle.
“I was born ready,” I replied, and opened the door.
As we stepped out, and looked ahead, I blinked in disbelief.
Ferins was nowhere in sight. But five of his son’s were.
Sonia was in their middle, and damn, she looked flawless as usual.
But as great, and as good looking she was, I didn’t stare at her for long.
My eyes followed the chain Wolf was holding.
It led me to the ground. The chain was tied around a neck.
On closer inspection, I saw it wasn’t a dog on the ground. It was Freya.
He was holding the chain, like he was holding a chain tied to a dog.
She might as well be one, seeing she was on all fours, and wagging her tongue.
I swallowed hard, because the reality of that door just became even more vivid.
