Chapter 193
RAMON S
Something was wrong Somewhere, and someway, something had gone awfully wrong.
Sonia was acting strange. She was acting distant too,
I was fully aware of the fact her time in my pack wasn’t all rosy
In fact, I could admit I played a huge role in much of her distress.
However, I thought we were getting closer than ever
I thought that despite how much spite I had against her father, and by extension, her, we were actually working things out
But as it would turn out, it took her returning to her pack, to hate me again.
Yeah, that was the night word. Absolute hatred.
I could tell from her gaze. There was no warmth in it
This wasn’t the Sonia I was used to seeing
Even when I hurt her, she was always so accommodating.
Had she forgotten her promise to me so soon!
How could she even live with herself after breaking a promise?
“Stop at Ramon You’re being dishonest, the sane voice in my head said.
Deep down, I agreed with it, but wasn’t I allowed to be selfish this one time?
I just wanted to lick my wounds, hoping to heal from her words that burned a hole through my heart.
My expectation wasn’t to be hurt by her words, yet, I was.
Sonia, are you sure al
u sure about that?” I heard Liam question her.
Good, because the way my heart was thumping against my chest, I doubted I could form reasonable words.
“Very sure, yes. What’s there for me? What do I gain from returning to bloodmoon? He has a child on the way with a woman who tried to kill me. A woman who he doesn’t believe tried to kill me,” Sonia said.
“Yeah, but that’s because Lorena did not try to kill you. Moon did. You know, the servant you were protecting?” I said, unable to stay:
ay silent
“Ramon, not now,” Liam dragged between his teeth in a low voice, but I wasn’t having it
These were two different conversations. There was actually no need to combine them, except the goal was to be manipulative
I didn’t take Sonia for a manipulative person, but she was definitely showing me a different side of her,
She was her father’s daughter
anyway.
unce and for all. Let her tell me what her problem is with Lorena, and we can address it,” I said, slowly getting
“No, I think we should settle this on really annoyed
Wolf laughed, and I was compelled to look at him.

He didn’t look the slightest bit human. It made me curious to see his wolf. Surely, it was just as much of a giant as he was.
“Care to tell us what’s so funny, Wolf” Cade asked.

Chapter 193
“Oh, my pleasure. The alpha comes to our pack, because Sonia, our younger sister is his fated mate, and he wants her back. But in the same breath, he defends his mistress lies. Funny, right?” He asked, turning his head around to look at his brothers.
“Tid say it’s silly. Audacious too. I can’t believe he has the guts to do something si stupid. Alpha be damned,” one of the brothers spoke.
I turned to their direction and saw it was Caleb
Seven sons, one alpha, a pack of warriors.
I hated to admit it, but I was fully surrounded by abled wolves.
This wasn’t a walk in the park like it was in Moonkay.
I wouldn’t leave there
with пу limbs if I decided to fight
Besides, I didn’t have a fight with them. It was their father who needed to face me squarely.
I just hated that I wasn’t going to get the satisfaction of him seeing Sonia choose me in his
Not only was he not here. Sonia was acting very strange.
presence.
“I think you should leave. Ramon. You heard my sister. She doesn’t want to see you again. You have your mistress, so it shouldn’t be a bother, 1 think I wish you and your unborn child good health, Cade said, and turned around.
My eyes went to Sonia, because I needed to see for myself if she was okay with all of this.
ay she was okay with this, right?
There was no way
“Sonia, we have to talk. There are things I need to tell you. Things I’m curious about,” I said, trying again before I leave without ever looking back
“I don’t want to talk to you. Alpha Ramon. I don’t want to see your face, hell I don’t even want to hear your name until the day I leave this world. Go back to Lorena. Let her be to you everything I couldn’t ever be. Good luck to you, her, and your unborn child,” she said, and turned around too in readiness to walk away.
It was like a dagger had slashed my chest. Like my heart was a glass that a stone fell on, causing it to shatter into pieces.
“What about Ivy? You’re just going to let go of her! And Moon. What do you think will happen to Moon? I don’t know who is in your ears, but they need to stop deceiving you. You belong beside me, and You know it,” I said, making her stop on her tracks.
“I belong here, and not beside you,” she replied behind her shoulders.
“And Ivy? What should I tell her?”
“I don’t care,” she replied coldly, and continued into the house.
“Sonia!” I growled, causing a small quake to ratile.
She didn’t pause. Didn’t even act like she had heard me..
She continued into the house, not for once, looking back.
“Soma!” I called a second tune when she got to the door.
She paused with her hand on its handle, and I held my breath waiting for her to turn to me.
But my hope, like my heart, was shattered when she opened the door, and slammed it shut behind her.
“Sonia!” I growled the last time, but it wasn’t as heavy as the rest, and it was filled with pain.
“That’s enough. You’re just embarrassing yourself now. I think you’ve overstayed your welcome. Leave before I show you how much I despise you,” Wolf threatened
I was taking a confident step towards him when Liam intervened.
“Let it go, it’s a losing battle,” he whispered to me.
He was right. I thought. I had lost the battle.
