Chapter 25 Doubt of His Identity
Danna thought to herself, “No.
Why should I be intimidated by this bluffy guy?
He’s just a pathetic loser trying to act tough.
There’s nothing to be scared of!”
Taking a deep breath, she spoke in a defiant tone. “You’re living off a woman, yet you act so tough. Do you really think you can chop off my hand?”
As soon as she finished, she felt a chilling gaze filled with disgust. and intimidation directed at her.
Danna’s body stiffened as if someone had a grip on her throat.
Yet, she didn’t want to show any weakness in front of Abigail, so she forced herself to continue, “How dare you losers show up in a place like Epicurean Cuisine? Aren’t you afraid…”
Abigail was already fed up with Danna, and just as she was about to defend Marcus, they were interrupted by a voice coming from inside Epicurean Cuisine.
“Excuse me, are you Mr. Marcus Fitzgerald?” a gentle yet powerful male voice cut through Danna’s words.
Chapter 25 Doubt of His Identity”
The speaker was a middle–aged man named Sean Bowen, wearing a manager’s name lag on his suit.
He looked at Marcus with respect, and upon confirming hist identity, he bowed slightly and said, “Mr. Fitzgerald, why are you waiting outside? We’ve prepared a private room for you inside. You can dine at any time.”
At this, the onlookers changed their expressions, glancing at Marcus in disbelief.
Who was he that the restaurant manager would come out to greet him personally and reserve a private room?
There weren’t many people in Claudia who could receive such
treatment.

Danna was even more shocked.
She was certain Sean had made a mistake and said indignantly, “Mr. Bowen, I have to stand in line here, so why are you inviting this loser to the private room?
“I’m a big customer, and I’ve spent no less than 500 thousand dollars this month! You’re treating me unfairly!”
Sean, recognizing her, replied politely, “Mr. Fitzgerald is a VVIP guest of our restaurant. Everything is in accordance with our standard procedures. Ms. Garner, if you’re dissatisfied, you can recharge 10 million dollars to apply for a VIP membership card, which will allow you to skip the line.”

Yel, even as a VIP, she wouldn’t be able to access the private
room.

“Ten million dollars?” Danna exclaimed, almost scolding Sean for being so greedy on the spol.
No matter how good the food was, no one would eat there all the time.
There was no way she would pay that much.
Besides, if it cost 10 million dollars for VIP status, how much did
one have to shell out for VVIP?
With that thought, Danna looked at Abigail with increasing
resentment.
She had thought Abigail had found a poor guy, but now she realized how lucky Abigail was to be with such a wealthy
husband.
But the “lucky” Abigail was completely baffled.
What was going on?
How did Marcus become a VVIP guest?
“Let’s go in,” Marcus said, placing his arm around Abigail’s shoulders as they walked inside.
Once they entered the hall, a special waiter guided them to the private room.

On the way, Abigail finally found a moment to ask, “How come you’re a VVIP member here?”
She had always assumed Marcus was just an ordinary guy, not particularly wealthy.
If he really was a low–key rich man who had hidden his wealth and married her…
Abigail’s mind began racing, and her expression grew increasingly puzzled.
Noticing her suspicion, Marcus said truthfully, “The membership belongs to a friend of mine.”
He didn’t visit Claudia often, and the house he lived in and the car he drove were all under Anthony’s name, so naturally, the membership card was his as well.
Abigail was convinced. After all, she didn’t think a rich man would engage in a quick marriage with her.
With a sigh of relief, she asked curiously, “Who is your friend? He’s quite generous.”
Marcus smiled, “His name is Anthony Harrison. I’ll introduce you to him later.”
“Anthony Harrison?” Abigail lifted an eyebrow in surprise.
Marcus tilted his head, looking at her. “Do you know him?”

In the dim lighting of the corridor, his face radiated tenderness.
Abigail, unaware of this, continued, “I’ve heard of him. He’s from the Harrison family, known as a notorious playboy, always looking for fun. He’s the type who would spend a fortune just to skip the line, but how do you know each other?”
After all, birds of a feather flocked together, and Abigail began to question Marcus‘ character, looking at him from a different perspective.
If he were also a playboy, she would have to reconsider their marriage.
