The first final came quickly.
After the grades came out, Ashley went to go
ask the homeroom teacher:
“Teacher, what grade did Ashley get?”
The homeroom teacher wouldn’t answer, and
said:
“Ashley, you did great this time, you got the
best grade.”
“What about Ashley?”
“That’s Ashley’s private information.”
Ashley wasn’t satisfied, and started going
through my desk to find my grades.

“You’re twentieth? You’re not as good as you
used to be.”
She looked at Jake who walked through the
door with a basketball, and told me:
“Ashley, this time I’m the smart one.”

I didn’t expect her to be so obsessed with Jake.
Last time, Jake rejected her, saying he liked
smart and well–behaved girls.
So Ashley started studying all the time.
She stayed up until one in the morning, and
woke up at five to do homework before going
to school.
Her desk was always filled with textbooks, and

She became anti–social, and of course Jake didn’t want anything to do with her. He wouldn’t
even invite her to his birthday party because he didn’t want to interrupt her studies.
But Ashley never got the best grade.
One time, when she heard I got the best grade,
she ripped her paper up and stepped all over it.
Everyone thought she was going crazy, and
didn’t want anything to do with her.
This time, she finally did better than me.
But it didn’t matter to Jake, he only called her
beautiful on the forum, and that was it.
If she went to him, he would run away.
During the physical education class, the guys

were sweating on the basketball court.
After a 3–point shot, Jake pulled his shirt up
and showed his ripped abs.
Everyone started whistling.
He realized what he did, and pulled his shirt
down.
Ashley pushed through the group of people and
handed him a water bottle from behind.
“Ooooh!”
“Did Jake get a girlfriend?”
“You’re torturing us with this PDA.”
Everyone started howling.
Everyone knows, bringing someone water on
the basketball court is a symbol of dating.

Jake turned around, and said coldly to the
people on the court:
“Don’t talk nonsense.”
