Yesenia cried so hard that she couldn’t even breathe.
“Antonio, you should hate me. I hate myself, too.
“But I swear that I didn’t do that on purpose. I’m an orphan… How could I bear to harm a child intentionally?
“Maybe I should die, too, to pay for my sin.”
As she said, she turned around and was about to bump her head against the wall, seemingly inadvertently revealing her slightly bulging belly.
Antonio’s expression changed as he grabbed her.
“Enough. What’s the point?”
Talia was dead, and Grace jumped into the sea. He was already worn out.
No matter what, he couldn’t take it if his bloodline disappeared again.
He said coldly, “Take care of Ms. Terry.”
With that, he left.
He didn’t see that Yesenia’s eyes were sparkling with triumph.
Excellent as Antonio was, she managed to wrap him around her finger.
Now, all she had to do was give birth and act pitifully to

completely win him over. She was pretty confident that she’d be Mrs. Kaufman someday.
At night, Antonio returned home exhausted.
The villa was brightly lit, yet it made him feel incredibly cold.
The painting of Tania that was once prominently placed in the living room was gone; it was he who ordered it to be burned.
And he had long taken down the family photo, leaving only a slightly lighter square mark on the wall. Looking at it, he felt as if the past happiness had been forcibly gouged out.
He glanced around the room.
All traces related to Grace, including the books she had read and the plants she had spent so much time tending to, had vanished completely. It was almost as if she had never existed in this world.
All of a sudden, he felt someone squeeze his heart with great force; an indescribable pain surged up.
Every bit of the time he had spent with Grace came flooding back to him involuntarily.
When he first met Grace, she had that gentle smile on her face; and she always got so busy cooking in the kitchen.
Those nights they spent together, the three of them looking up at the stars, and the promise to go see the aurora together all flashed across his mind.
The laughter and warm scenes were once the most precious treasures of his life.

Chapter 9
A great heartache struck him hard.
With Talia dead, Grace lost her only relative. As for him? What was he doing back then?
He was hurting Grace again and again, cursing her, and accompanying another woman.
Guilt gnawed at each cell in his body like a venomous snake; he couldn’t let it go.
The hotel sent back Grace’s diamond ring to the villa.
He held the ring in his hand, the hard stone pressing painfully against his heart.
He refused to believe it. No way. Grace wasn’t dead.
If Grace were still alive, he would have a chance to make amends, and they could start over.
He lifted his head, his eyes bloodshot, his voice chillingly icy.
“Find out what Yesenia did to Grace and the cause of Talia’s
death.
“Also, mobilize all resources to find Grace. Even if she’s dead, I must see her body.”
His assistant acted quickly, and all the insults and curses from Yesenia were sent to his computer in no time.
Even though he was prepared, his hands still trembled uncontrollably.
He had trusted Yesenia too much; she didn’t even bother to hide.

Chapter 9
Yesenia’s blatant provocations coupled with his so–called “fairness” pushed Grace into another abyss.
“Get the car ready. I’m going to the hospital.”

As he stood outside Yesenia’s hospital room, he heard her triumphant laughter loud and clear.
“Finally, those two eyesores have been dealt with. Bitches like Grace and little bastards like Talia deserve to die.
“Yeah, that’s right. I deliberately pushed them. Who knows? Both of them died so easily. Serve them right.“”
Her words were like a knife, stabbing Antonio’s heart again and again.
He had thought Yesenia was innocent and harmless, and that she had saved his life, so he kept accommodating her.
And he admitted it was his fault for having too much to drink that night. But how could Yesenia be this vile? Grace and Talia died because of her!
He pushed the door open with great force.
The smile on Yesenia’s face vanished at once, and her voice trembled.
“Antonio… Why are you here?”
