After a car accident that caused
me to lose my memory, my boyfriend asked me to be with his
brother.
Chapter 1
I was in the hospital after a car wreck.
Suddenly, I got this mischievous idea to mess
with my boyfriend.
“Who are you?”
I almost burst out laughing when I saw Liam
freeze up.
But then Liam points right at his best bud,
Ace, and says, “I’m just a friend. He’s your
boyfriend, Ace.”
My face just went stiff.
Ace steps right up and says, “Yeah, I’m your
boyfriend.”
I forced a smile.
“Then take me home.”

He says I’ve always lived here.
I looked around at this place that didn’t have
a single trace of me, and I just played along.
I took a nap in his bed and got up for a glass

Willow’s boyfriend for a while.”
“Aren’t you worried she’ll get her memory
back?”
“If she remembers and gets mad, I’ll just
sweet–talk her. She loves me too much to
really leave. I’m just, like, so over her right
now. I need a break to have some fun.”
“So you are hooking up with Brittany, huh?
Just wanna mess around with her?”
“You got me. But I definitely love Willow
more. Just don’t get any ideas while she’s
around, okay? I know I can trust you ‘cause
you always seemed to hate her.”
I backed away, barefoot, and made some
noise at the door before walking back into
the living room.
Ace heard me and quickly hung up the phone.
“Floor’s cold, Willow, why don’t you put on
some socks.”
Ace scooped me up and put me on the couch.
“I’m thirsty.”
I said, looking around for water.
“I’ll get you some.
Ace poured me some water.
He sat down next to me, watching me.
“Anything else hurt?”
I shook my head after drinking.
He brushed some hair from my face and
kissed my forehead.
I froze.
I just heard Liam telling him not to touch me.
And I always thought Ace hated me.
