In the afternoon, the guys were fishing.
Brittany suddenly asked, “Willow, wanna go
grape picking? Looks like fun.”
I gave her a knowing look and smiled as we
went.
Inside the vineyard.
Brittany handed me her phone.
“I wanna show you something.”
I took it.
“There are a bunch of them. Take your time. I
swiped them from Liam’s phone.” Brittany
said, all sly.
I looked through her phone at pictures of me
and Liam getting cozy, kissing, pictures in
bed.
“What’s this supposed to mean?” I asked,
handing the phone back.
She smirked.
“What’s it mean? Liam says Ace is your
boyfriend, but you have all these pictures with
Liam, going way back. What do you think it
means?”
Г
“Willow, are you really this clueless? Can’t
you see what these pictures mean? Liam’s
lying to you!”
“Liam’s always been your boyfriend! Not
Ace!”
“Liam just didn’t want to be your boyfriend
since you lost your memory, so he lied and
said Ace was your boyfriend so he could go
have fun!”
“And Ace is playing along with it.”
“You’re getting played, and everyone’s
laughing at you!”
“I’m telling you this because you are my
friend, and I could not bear to see the scene
く
continued!”
Brittany just blurted it all out.
I didn’t react.
She stared at me, surprised.
I smiled.
“So? Is my life that bad right now? Is Ace
treating me worse than Liam did?”
She stared at me.
“You… you know all this and you’re okay with
it?”
She seemed to realize something.
<
“You… you don’t have amnesia, do you?”
I twirled a grape.
“Oops, you caught me. As a friend, you can’t
tell anyone.”
“You… you…”
She was shocked.
“You’ve been faking this the whole time? And
you’re still with Ace?”
“Willow, you are deeply scheming!”
“I’m gonna tell Liam, and I’m gonna tell Ace
that you don’t have amnesia! You’ve been
lying to them this whole time!”
