I turned off the recorder and gave it back to
her.
“Don’t think too much of it. Liam betrayed
me.”
“And who knows about Ace?”
I said.
She said, “I thought you were always so kind,
but now I see you’re always holding
something back.”
I frowned.

“Don’t look at me like that. I just love myself
first. It’s not hard to understand, right?”
“But you got everything, and I got nothing.”
She said.
“Why don’t you get over it? Don’t get caught
up in love. Use what you know about Liam to
get paid for life.”
She said, “Don’t you hate me? I seduced Liam
and used our friendship to get close to him.
He didn’t care about me at first, then he
wanted to spice things up…”
“You made him mad, and I was nice to him,
telling him I wasn’t looking for anything
serious, just happiness. He was finding you in
me.”

seducing them. It’s not right.”
“I stopped thinking of you as a friend when I
realized you weren’t being honest with me. I
didn’t want to be betrayed.”
“Since I don’t think of you as a friend and you
haven’t hurt me yet, what you do has nothing
to do with me.”
“Liam betrayed me.”
She laughed.
“I really admire you. But…”
