Chapter 4
“What does it have to do with you?”
The man on the other end of the phone was silent for a long time.
“Quiana, please. Weren’t we still going to look at wedding dresses, prepare for the wedding, and make you the happiest bride?”
I laughed out loud. “Are you crazy, Spencer? Do you think we can go back to the past?”
“As long as you are willing to look back, I will always be here.”
I don’t want to hear him talking. “You don’t have to say sweet words to me. Leave it to your future wife. From now on, we have nothing to do with each other. Farewell, Mr. Scott.”
I hung up the phone and blocked all his contact information.
I opened the album. It recorded everything about my life with Spencer.
I took a lot of photos of him.
The photos included those of him at work, cooking, on campus, and at the company.
I took tens of thousands of photos without realizing it.
Chapter 4
All my feelings and past for Spencer were deleted.

My dad was an experienced man. He didn’t mention it to me at all.
He just took me around the streets and told me about the latest novel changes.
He told me that my kindergarten had been built into a high–rise building.
The breakfast shop that I often ate in elementary school had become a chain store.
It turned out that the world had been moving forward without my knowledge.
Then I shouldn’t stay where I was.
I went to work for a company that was as famous as the Yost Group.
With my previous experience, I was doing pretty well in this
company.
No one here knew me. I was not bad–looking and had outstanding abilities, so I was pursued by many men for no
reason.
This was an experience I never had before in the Scott Group.
Men working in the Scott Group never seemed to be interested
in me.

My dad was very open–minded about this situation. “Girls should have more boyfriends so they won’t be cheated by scumbags. It’s a lie to say that you can only be with one person for your whole life. You can only make the right judgment after accumulating experience.”
I didn’t expect my dad to be so open–minded.
So, I also tried to date Simon Simpson, a rich guy who I thought was a good match.
He was 5.9 feet tall. He was a supervisor in a company, graduated from an Ivy League school abroad, and had an interest in exciting sports in his spare time.
He looked decent and was quite polite.
But it was just weird. It was not him but me.
“Quiana, these are some roses. You are as beautiful as roses today.”
I looked at the bright red roses in front of me and couldn’t help leaning back.
“Thanks… thanks.”
Early in the morning, I squeezed into the subway in high heels and hurried to the downstairs of the company.
I saw Simon leaning against his flashy red super–car.
He came forward and handed me the roses.
Chapter 4
In fact, I wanted to eat the freshly baked sandwich from the street stall more than the roses.

But I didn’t say it. I just thanked him while taking the flowers and went upstairs.
I sat at my workstation and put the roses in the vase.
The flowers were indeed gorgeous. And the reason why I felt strange maybe just was I hadn’t adapted yet.
Perhaps over time, these barriers would be eliminated little by little.
And I always compared Simon and Spencer inadvertently.
I spent seven years on Spencer, so it was inevitable that I would be a little uncomfortable for a while.
I heard that they poached a very good supervisor from another company. I prepared the documents to hand over to him.
The elevator light came on. I looked up and saw a pair of familiar eyes.
