Chapter 7 Section 7
Chad went white.
“No way. It can’t be! He’s a bastard. How can
he be better than me?”
I shrugged.
“Your family’s messed up. Don’t think I don’t
know that your mom’s the homewrecker and
you’re the bastard!”
“Don’t worry. I’ll teach your family a lesson.
Except for Michael, you’re all screwed!”
Chad snapped.
He broke free and grabbed Ashley.
<
He slapped her over and over, yelling, “It’s all
your fault! Why did you lie to me?!”
Ashley screamed, trying to get away.
Chad was doing to her what he’d done to me.
He pointed at her and cried.
“Ashley, I messed up!”
“I punished Ashley for you! Can we start
over?”
I couldn’t believe how stupid he was.
He’d hurt me so much for Ashley.
Those were all big sins to be committed.
L
How could any apology make up for that?
Michael pushed Chad away.
“Get away from her! You’re disgusting!”
Chad glared.
“You can’t win! Ashley loves me. You’re just a
substitute!”
I saw the hurt in Michael’s eyes and grabbed
his hand.
“Who said that? Chad, you’re so full of
yourself!”
“You’re ungrateful, always looking for power. I
was stupid to like you! Now, you’re nothing
compared to Michael!”
<
Michael squeezed my hand.
Chad looked furious.
I waved my hand, and the bodyguards beat
him up.
I wasn’t going to be nice.
I was going to make them pay.
Chad was screaming.
Ashley was frozen with fear.
I walked up to her, looking down.
“Ashley, you wanted to be me? Did you think
about what that meant?”
Ashley was shaking.
“What do you want?”
I smiled.
“You want to be me? I’ll give you what you
want.”
A few days later, I chartered a yacht.
I had Chad and Ashley tied up and put on
board and let it be known that the Miller
heiress was on the boat.
A few hours later, the yacht lost contact.
I didn’t need to check.
I know it was the Miller’s enemies
I knew it was the Miller’s enemies.
Ashley wanted to be me?
I’d let her experience what it was like to be
Ashley Miller!
A few months later, I was fully recovered.
I started getting involved in the family
business, slowly getting stronger.
And Michael booked the fanciest hotel in the
city and proposed.
The news of the Millers and Caldwells joining
together shocked everyone.
Michael put the ring on my finger and
promised. “I’ll give my life to protect you!”
promised, “I’ll give my life to protect you!”
I nodded.
The darkness was gone.
We were ready for the future!
