‘Does Cameron have to ruin my reputation? Does he really hate me so much? Yanina thought, feeling disappointed.
“What are we going to do, Yani?” Yetta asked, her frustration boiling over as she stomped her foot in anger.
“Yetta, get in touch with a lawyer. If Cameron wants to play dirty I’m not going to back down!” The words slipped out of Yanina’s mouth, even though a sharp pain tugged at her heart as she said them.
“Okay. But you know how powerful Everbright Group is. If Cameron gets serious, I’m afraid…” Yetta didn’t need to finish her sentence for Yanina to understand.
If it came down to an all–out war, Yanina wasn’t sure she could hold her ground against Cameron–not now, at least. The more she thought about it, the more helpless she felt.
Since the trouble had started, Cameron hadn’t made any effort to defend her; instead, he chose to vacation in Utravia. ‘Cameron and I had a year of marriage, but Callie had been gone for seven years. Is his relationship with
whisk Callie away for a Callie still more important than ours? How silly of me to hold him to any standards! she thought.
“Just find a lawyer for me. I’ll handle the rest,” Yanina declared, decisively deleting Cameron’s contact info from her phone. Yetta nodded firmly, saying, “Don’t worry, Yani. No matter what happens. I’ve got your back!
Yanina managed a sweet smile, but it held a cold edge beneath.
That night, the entire filming crew gathered at the Jashtown Club, an upscale venue owned by the Everbright Group.
“Come on, everyone! Let’s raise a toast to our director! Thanks to Mr. Chapin for bringing us all together today, and let’s hope we can work well together to make this shoot a success!” someone
proposed.
“Cheers!” Everyone raised their glasses in unison, clinking them together.
Yanina tilted her head back, downing the entire glass of red wine in one go.
Before long, whether intentional or not, the makeup artist, lighting technician, and cinematographer took turns toasting Yanina. Yetta tried to intervene, but Yanina welcomed every toast. Before they knew it, the wine bottle beside her was empty. Left without any other option, Yetta joined Yanina in drinking.
After several rounds of drinks, a knock on the door broke through the lively atmosphere. Christina walked in with a smile. “Mr. Chapin. I heard you were here, so I rushed over to toast you
“Ms. Zamora? I’m just a small–time director. Your family is way out of my league. Here, let me raise my glass to you!” Anders quickly waved his hands and stood up.
“What are you talking about? You’re someone I respect greatly. So, who’s the main character this time? Christina said, intentionally eyeing Yanina with a challenging glare.
“Let me introduce. This is Ms. Fulbright, the endorser for Blurberry. And Yanina, this is Christina, the daughter of Ethan Zamora from the Everbright Group.” Anders Chapin laughed as he made the introductions.
However, Yanina didn’t play along. She looked at Christina, a cold smile creeping across her lips. “It’s rare for the illustrious Ms. Zamora to drop by. What brings you here tonight?”
Christina shot Yanina a glance, thinking. Something about her fillerent. She doesn’t seem like the same girl who used to feign pity to gain sympathy from Grandpa. It’s as if she were a tuul stranger now. Could it be because of that article from Universe Media? A smug grin formed on Christina’s face.

Chapter 34
“Without my brother protecting you, your life isn’t too great,” said Christina.
Did you do it?” Yanina frowned, realizing the rumors online might not have been Cameron’s doing, but rather Christina’s.
“I never said I was behind it, but… Christina leaned closer, whispering in Yanina’s car, “I’ve wanted to slap you for ages! Your bitch! You took away everything that was supposed to be mine! With that, she swung her hand, aiming for Yanina’s face.
In a flash. Yanina felt no pain at all. Shawn had stepped in front of her, grabbing Christina’s hand just in time.
“Looks like your sister–in–law isn’t very kind to you either, Shawn said to Yanina and gave Christina a scathing look.
“She’s not my sister–in–law, Yanina said coldly.
Christina had no intention of backing down. “Yanina, you two–faced witch! All you do is pretend to be high and mighty while seducing men! I’m going to make sure the whole world knows just how shameless you are!”
“So, you admit that all the rumors and slanders are your doing?” Yanina countered.
“I didn’t do anything! Stop accusing me without proof!” Christina snapped, glancing around at the crowd.
Everyone quickly turned their heads, pretending they hadn’t heard anything, though their whispers had lowered to catch every juicy detail of the drama unfolding.
“This is the Zamora family’s territory! I can have you torn to shreds and tossed out right now!” Christina glared at Yanina and shouted
Yanina looked over at Shawn, who stood silently beside her, then at Christina, whose expression was venomous. She shook her head lightly. This isn’t your place; it’s the Zamora family’s.
“Don’t forget, your grandfather is still alive. As long as he’s around, you can’t do anything.” Yanina shot back defiantly. The tension rose as the two women faced off, equally matched.
“I hate you, Yanina Christina huffed, grabbing a bowl from the table and hurling it towards Yanina’s face. The bowl was filled with hot water.
Yanina narrowed her eyes; she hadn’t expected Christina to stoop so low. Luckily, she reacted quickly, raising her hand to swat the bowl away. However, the scalding water splashed everywhere. Pain shot through her legs and feet.
Those closest to them weren’t spared, especially Shawn, who found himself drenched in hot water.
Now that the situation was impossible to ignore, onlookers began to gather around. Anders glanced at Yanina, relieved to see that her face was unscathed, and hurried over to Christina. “Ms. Zamora, are you alright? Did you get hurt anywhere?”
“Yanina, how dare you splatter me with hot water?” Christina raged, pointing an accusing finger at Yanina, completely disregarding the fact that everyone had seen her throw the bowl Though everyone clearly witnessed the incident, no one dared to confront her since she was a descendant of the Zamora family.
Anders let out a resigned sigh, attempting to ease the tension. “Relax. It’s all a misunderstanding
But Yanina was not about to let Christina off the hook that easily Shawn, call the cops!”
Shawn, clutching his phone and looking at his wet clothes, felt his annoyance bubble over.
Anders rushed to intervene, lus tone cautious as he addressed Shawn. “Mr. Haney, don’t act impulsively. She’s from the Zamora family
Shawn shot him a sharp glance. “The law applies to everyone, rich or pood! Have you never heard that saying, Mr. Chapin?” Christina chimed in, her face showing a mix of defiance and disbelief. “Go ahead! Call the police! I won’t let you bully me
