Chapter 12
The moment Antonio saw Grace, his eyes instantly welled up. For a full seven months and two hundred and fourteen days, even in his dreams, he had been eagerly anticipating their reunion. But now that he actually saw her, he couldn’t bring himself to make a move.
He was afraid that it was a dream, and even more afraid to see the indifference and disgust in Grace’s eyes.
“Grace…” he murmured softly.
Grace glanced at him and then averted her gaze, giving Lincoln a cold look.
Lincoln dominated the business world, always being the one to give others a hard time, but this was the first time someone gave him a hard time.
He coughed uncomfortably and said, “I noticed that you have been more emotionally stable lately, so I informed Antonio to come over. It was his fault for cheating, but you were also at fault for faking your death. Now, I hope the two of you can have a calm conversation.”
Grace sneered, “Calm? Lincoln, if your wife cheats on you and has two children with someone else, and keeps it a secret from you for a whole two years, even repeatedly engaging in intimate activities with that person at the place where you two fell in love, will you stay calm and talk to her?”
Lincoln was left speechless by her retort.

Grace grabbed him and said, “Can’t you understand human language? I said we had no chance anymore! Stop engaging in these meaningless entanglements.”
“I couldn’t… I couldn’t be without you!” Antonio was crying so much that he couldn’t speak clearly.
Lincoln sighed as he watched Antonio, who was three years younger than him. He had seen him grow up, but he had never seen him in such a disheveled state.
Over here, Grace was being constantly annoyed by Antonio’s incessant begging. Fed up, she made up her mind and pushed Antonio away, grabbing Lincoln by the collar.
In his shocked and bewildered gaze, Grace firmly planted a kiss on his lips.
Antonio’s crying was abruptly cut off.
“It was impossible for me and you, because I had fallen for Lincoln.”
Lincoln’s pupils suddenly contracted.
