For a brief moment, Victor felt completely dazed. “What are you saying? How could Anna be missing?“” The servant called out a few more times before Victor snapped back to his senses.”
His voice trembled as he confirmed, “Did you check everywhere? How could Anna just disappear?“”
His voice was so loud that everyone at the banquet turned to stare at him.
Lena frowned in displeasure, walking over and tugging at his sleeve.”
“Today is my big day, Victor. Why are you making a scene?“”
Mom and Dad also approached, looking at Victor with disapproval.
“Is Anna throwing another tantrum?” Dad scoffed. “You’re too soft on her. Why do you still bother with her?”
Victor looked at the few people in front of him, their faces filled with reproach and felt nothing but frustration in his heart. Why were they showing such expressions? Was Anna not their family too?Z
Anna had already sacrificed so much for Lena. Why did they still act as if everything was her fault?? However, out of habit, Victor suppressed his impatience and said in a low voice, “Anna is missing.“” Lena scoffed, “How childish! She’s still playing the runaway act.”

“Victor, what are you doing? This is my first banquet since returning and you’re about to ruin it! How am I supposed to hold my head up in the city after this?”
