Chapter 83
“Can I come in first?” Cameron asked.
Yanina stepped back. “I don’t have any men’s slippers, so say it at the door.”
Cameron didn’t object. As the door was about to close, he got down on one knee in the doorway. “Yani, will you marry me? I know I didn’t cherish you before, but please give me another chance. I’ll give you everything you want.”
“Can you turn back time, Cameron?” Yanina looked at the ring in front of her, unconsciously touching her finger.
When they got married, she had a ring. It was given by Carl, who said it was the Zamora family’s heirloom passed down to her from the grandmother and mother of Cameron,
But after the divorce, Yanina didn’t wear it again.
Now, Cameron was proposing, but it was too late. She was completely disillusioned with him unless time could rewind.
“Yanina, I think we can salvage it.” Cameron’s words were cut short by Yanina.
“No, Cameron. When you stood by Callie and watched as everyone accused me, that was the end. As for the ring, keep it for someone you’ll love in the future.” Yanina turned away after she spoke, tears falling. She acted like everything was fine as she went into the kitchen, quickly wiped the tears from her eyes, and then sat at the table, slowly eating her pasta.
She didn’t pay attention to how long Cameron stood at the door After she finished eating, washed the plate, and came out of the kitchen, he was already gone.
There was just a faint lingering scent of pine from his perfume in the air.
The next day, Yanina arrived early at Goldenlight Entertainment
Yetta was back to her lively self. Although her face was still covered in bandages, her laughter never stopped.
After doing two livestreams, Yetta and Yanina were about to finish work. Yet a group of law enforcement officers appeared at the doorway.
“What’s going on? I’m going to check it out,” Yetta smiled and went to open the door.
At the door, an officer in uniform politely saluted Yetta. “Hello, we’re from Yvale Revenue Service. Someone has reported. the influencer Crimson Snow for tax evasion. Please cooperate with our investigation.”
“Tax evasion?” Yeua frowned.
Most influencers had tax problems. They either didn’t pay taxes or paid them late.
But usually, if nobody reported it, the authorities wouldn’t pursue it. Yetta thought, “Why did someone suddenly report Yanina? They are definitely trying to frame her!
But with Yetta and Yanina personally handling the accounts, there shouldn’t be any problems. Even if there was an investigation, they were confident.
“Hello, may I ask if you are Yanina Fullright?” the officer asked as he entered the room.
“Yes,” Yanina replied, glancing at the time. She had promised to ge Royce off today. It looked like there might be a delay.
To save time, Yanina quickly spoke to the officers. “Could you please give me a list of what’s needed, and I’ll have someone
send it to you.

The staff nodded and quickly provided the list. “We need these related documents, and if there are any unpaid taxes, please. settle them within three working days”
“Sure.” Yanina couldn’t believe how smoothly everything went. After seeing off the officials, she immediately headed to a restaurant near the university town.
This was the place where her college friends frequently hung out. Unlike upscale places like Moonrise Restaurant, this was truly the hub for gatherings of young people.
When they arrived, Royce had already been waiting for quite a while.
“Hey, Royce! You came so early!” Yetta said.
Royce nodded and politely pulled out chairs for Yanina and Yetta. “We can’t reserve seats here, so I had to come early to get a room. I haven’t even ordered, so the waiter came by multiple times. Luckily, I’m thick–skinned enough.”
Yanina and Yetta burst into laughter.
“It’s a shame Linda went overseas. Otherwise, the four of us could hang out more often! That heartless person hasn’t reached out for months! Yetta complained.
Yanina quickly defended Linda Harvey. ‘She’s handling twins on her own and dealing with the time difference. She’s extremely busy”
After they ordered, Royce lowered his head for a while as if there was a struggle within him. He then looked up and casually said, “By the way, you two have done pretty well in your careers since you graduated, but how about your love lives? Do you have boyfriends?”
Yetta couldn’t hold back and started laughing, “Royce, when I saw you looking so nervous, I thought you were going to borrow money. I didn’t expect you’d ask this.”
*I was just asking casually. What’s wrong?” Royce said, glancing at Yanina.
“I got married and divorced. Now I’m single, but I’m really not interested in a relationship at the moment. As for Yetta, ask her yourself. I’m not sure if she’s in a relationship or not” Yanina glanced at Yetta.
“Nope!” Yetta confirmed. “He never said he loved me or pursued me officially. I’m still single. What about you, Royce? Next time, bring your girlfriend to meet us, okay?”
Royce gave a sheepish grin. He had wanted to admit his feelings to Yanina.
But back in college, he felt inferior and unworthy of Yanina because of his family’s financial situation.
So he let four years of youth slip by, and now that he had established himself in Chatville, he was ready to confess his love for Yanina.
However, he found she was already divorced and not interested in a relationship anymore.
“Wait until I find the right person, Royce said, forcing a smile. “But Yanina, I have to say. It wasn’t cool of you to get married without telling me, your old buddy.”
“I didn’t have a wedding. Yanina responded coldly.
Royce frowned slightly, but seeing Yanina didn’t want to discuss are, he didn’t press further. “You guys should visit Chatville sometime. I’ll take you for deep–sea fishing Royce suggested.
“That sounds awesome! I’ve never gone deep–sea fishing before! Yetta exclaimed excitedly.
Yanina nodded. “We definitely have to go if we get the chance

Reminiscing about their youth, the group soon finished their meal.
Yanina drove, taking the other people with her to the airport.
Before departing. Royce slipped his hand back into his pocket, touching the necklace inside. “If you guys feel unhappy in Yvale. Come to Chatville. I know a few entertainment companies. I can help you make connections.”
“OK.” Yanina nodded in agreement.
“I’m leaving then!” Even as he boarded the plane, Royce kept his hand in his pocket, holding onto the necklace.
He knew that if he confessed his feelings and got rejected, they would never be able to go back to how they were.
As Yanina and Yetta were about to leave the airport, a familiar voice suddenly sounded from behind. “Yanina?”
Yanina turned her head and responded politely. “Mrs. Zamora.”
