Chapter 91
“Is that so?” Cameron’s expression darkened, resembling spilled ink.
He turned and stood beside Yanina, placing a hand on her shoulder. “I sure hope what she said was true.”
Yanina had no patience left for unnecessary chatter. “Let’s go.”
Cameron nodded, and the two of them started walking toward the auction hall.
But after taking just a few steps, he glanced back. “Ms. Foley, right? Next time you speak to my wife, watch your tone. She’s out of your league. I don’t care if you’re the mayor’s daughter.”
He calmly wrapped his arm around Yanina and swaggered away
“Your wife? Since when? Could you stop saying that?” Yanina questioned, clearly annoyed.
“I say you are, so you are.” Cameron replied with a smug smile.
“Show me the proof, then” Yanina raised an eyebrow, challenging him with her gaze..
“Whenever you’re free, we’ll make it official, Cameron said, eyes locked on hers.
Im not free. And with you clinging to me like this, isn’t Ms. Stark jealous? Yanina teased.
Cameron, already familiar with her playful remarks, chuckled softly. Tve explained it to you a thousand times. Need me to go over it again?”
“I only believe what I see, Yanina responded coldly.
“I haven’t seen her since returning to Zepyria. I owed her a debt, which I’ve paid. If she doesn’t want it, that’s her problem.” he explained as they walked back inside.
Sophie, having overheard Cameron’s words, stood still, deep in thought.
‘Could it be true” she wondered.
Inside the venue, Lili had already been escorted home.
Given the Hopperfamily’s current situation, crossing Cameron was like handling a live grenade, one that could blow their entire family to pieces at any moment.
With Lili gone, Sophie had lost a loyal lackey.
As Sophie hesitated, Mabel stepped up beside her at just the right moment. “Ms. Foley, what are you doing out here? Didn’t anything in the auction catch your eye?”
Sophie looked at her, puzzled. “And you are?”
“Sebastian from the Harnett Group is my husband. Just call me Mabel,‘ she said with a smile.
Sophie, accustomed to this kind of small talk and flattery, nodded indifferently.
Mabel continued, “I noticed you liked the pair of bracelets earlier, I have a similar pair at home. You can come over sometime, and if you like them, they’re yours.”

“No, thank you,” Sophie–smiled politely and nodded.

Mabel’s eyebrows raised slightly, as though she’d predicted this response. She seemed quite pleased with Sophie’s attitude.
Sophie might not have liked the bracelets, but the fact that she was keen on buying it indicated she couldn’t stand the person who had bought it. Yanina.
Coincidentally, Mabel disliked Yanina too. The enemy of my enemy was my friend, after all.
“Mr. Zamora is really something, isn’t he? No sense of appreciation. Ms. Foley, you’re brilliant, yet he can’t see it. Instead, he chases after a former wife with no family. Pathetic, isn’t it?” Mabel remarked, carefully watching Sophie’s reaction.
Sophie had been ready to leave, but upon hearing Mabel mention Cameron’s ex–wife, she stopped in her tracks. Curiosity piqued, she asked, “Mabel, did you just say CrimsonSnow is Cameron’s ex–wife? And she’s an orphan?”
I knew it. Sophie is interested in Cameron. If the Zamora family doesn’t want my daughter, how about Mr. Foley’s? If I can play matchmaker here, both the Zamora and Foley families will we me. That could open a lot of doors for Sebastian’s business, she wondered.
If she could facilitate this marriage, both the Zhou and Chen families would remember her kindness, and it would also smooth business matters for her husband.
Feigning a deeper understanding, Mabel continued with a smile. “Yanina is just some orphan the Zamora family picked up from an orphanage. She doesn’t even know who her real parents are, a bastard child.”
“A bastard?” Sophie smirked coldly, her earlier high regard for Yanina fading away.
A bastard thinks she can compete with me for a man? Ridiculous! she thought.
Seeing Sophie’s interest, Mabel pressed on. The Zamora family took pity on her and spoiled her rotten, but little did they know, she’s full of schemes. That bitch somehow wrapped Carl around her finger, and he convinced Cameron to marry her. Of course, Cameron wasn’t happy about it. They didn’t even have a proper wedding. They just had a rushed marriage.
“After a year, Cameron couldn’t take it anymore, and they divorced recently. But since Cameron’s such a dutiful grandson, he’s been hiding it to spare Carl’s feelings. What you see in public is all for the show, just to keep Carl happy. You probably didn’t know, Ms. Foley, but Cameron’s mother is quite close to me. She’s even asked me to help find a new daughter–in–law
Sophie smiled, lifting her chin with a newfound sense of superiority. “So that’s how it is. I wondered why the Zamora family, being at the top of the business world in Yvale, would let Mr. Zamora marry some random social media star. Turns out it was all his grandfather’s doing. That old man must be really short–sighted.”
Seeing how quickly Sophie caught on, Mabel nodded in agreement. “Exactly. With his family background and wealth, how could someone like her ever deserve to marry Mr. Zamora? Honestly, I think you, Ms. Foley, are a much better match.”
“Me?” Sophie’s cheeks flushed as she imagined Cameron’s perfectly handsome face and the possibility of him being her husband. The thought excited her beyond measure.
She couldn’t help but ask, “Do you really think we’re a good match?”
“You two are a perfect match. One of you is the mayor’s daughter, and the other is a business titan. I’ll mention it to Mrs. Zamora. I’m sure she’ll be thrilled,” Mabel said with a smile,
Sophite nodded. “Thank you, Mrs. Harnett. I won’t forget your kindness. Once I’m with Cameron, I’ll be sure to mention the Harnett family to my father.”
“Oh, Ms. Foley, I should be thanking you instead! I look forward to hearing the good news about you two.” Mabel’s compliments kept flowing, her eyes narrowing into slits from all the smiling.
Meanwhile, the auction had come to a close.

Chapter 91
Cameron handed the emerald bracelets to Yanina.
Instinctively, Yanina tried to decline, but Cameron insisted, placing them firmly in her hand.
This pair of bracelets had been passed down in Cameron’s family, a keepsake from his grandmother, Harper Zamora.
A few days earlier, Carl had entrusted Cameron to give them to nina.
Knowing Yanina wouldn’t easily accept such a gift, Cameron had cleverly arranged for the bracelets to be auctioned, intending to buy them back and present them to her.
As for the price, whether it was 80
80 thousand or ten times, a hundred times that amount, Cameron didn’t bat an eye.
If it meant giving them to Yanina, he wouldn’t hesitate.
“Thank you,” Yanina said as she accepted the bracelets.
She genuinely liked them. Slipping them onto her wrist, she was pleased to find it fit perfectly.
The cool, translucent green of the gem against her smooth, flawless skin was mesmerizing.
Cameron couldn’t help but stare, completely captivated.
Yanina cleared her throat softly. Til be heading to the Watson residence later to check on Jess.”
Her tone implied that Cameron didn’t need to worry about her and could leave.
But Cameron showed no intention of leaving. I take you to the Watson residence.”
“There’s no need Yanina refused.
“I insist,” Cameron said firmly.
As they were locked in this disagreement, Cameron’s phone rang. It was Zak.
Cameron answered, “Mr. Zamora, we’ve found the one who hired the thugs to attack Yetta.”
“Who is it?” Cameron’s voice dropped several degrees, chilling the air around him.
“His identity is… complicated. He’s… Zak hesitated.
