“We’ll come each year as a tribute to the heroes” Daniel and Chuck exchanged smiles and grabbed Gavin, the instigator, from either side and shoved him into the car.
Then followed some moans from Gavin Cathy watched from the side, amused but a bit concerned. ‘Be gentle with him!” she laughed.
The group laughed and joked as they piled into the van.
In the car. Yanina was deeply focused on rearranging her last chess game, planning her next move against the black piece. She was so engrossed that she didn’t pay much attention to the earlier commotion.
It wasn’t until a bunch of people filled the van that Yanina, still deep in thought with a furrowed brow, finally looked thoughtful beauty catching everyone’s eyes.

Even though Gavin had seen Yanina many times before, he was still amazed, jaw–dropping in awe at her sight. Cameron thought. Yanina was incredibly stunning, so much so that he wanted to hide her away just for himself! Cameron cleared his throat lightly, causing the guys to look away awkwardly.
Gavin saw Cameron’s stormy expression, as dark as if it could start raining, and nudged Cathy.
Cathy got the hint. Even though she was annoyed that Gavin kept staring at Yanina, she had to admit Yanina was just too attractive, even she, as a woman, “Yanina, let me introduce myself. I’m Cathy, Gavin’s girlfriend,” she said with a smile. “This is Daniel, and that’s Chuck. We’ve all grown up with Cameron.”
Yarina smiled and nodded at Cathy, “Hi, I’m Yanina.”
“Call her sis–in–law!”

Yanina frowned and looked at Cameron, “Stop calling me sis–in–law. Just call me Yanina.”
“Better stick with sit–in–law since my brother’s right here, Cathy said, glancing at Cameron.
Gavin had already told her about their divorce. But in front of Cameron, she had to keep up appearances.
Yanina chuckled softly, “Really, just don’t call me sis–in–law. It’s not fitting given our situation.”
“Alright then. I’ll call you Yanina Sis, Cathy laughed. With that, she sat across from Yanina and said, “They’ll probably play Mahjong later. How about we play chess instead?”

Cathy’s eyes brightened as she looked at the chessboard Yanina set up, then she asked, “Is this the legendary showdown everyone’s been raving about on social media?”

“Now everyone is hyping it up online, saying it’s impossible to solve!”
Chuck smiled and said. “Someone even offered a million–dollar teward for the winner, regardless of whether it’s black or white pieces. As long as you can win, you get a million!”
“Really Well, now I definitely have to give it a shot” Cathy said, rolling up her sleeves with a look of excitement.

They played seven or eight rounds, and each time, Yanina had Cathy surrender within ten moves, leaving no room for

Comparing Cathy to Yanina was like matching a grade schooler against a PhD in advanced math! They weren’t even on the

Cathy was still unwilling to give up and wanted to try one more time.
Yanina didn’t mind, as she looked at the board, she imagined the white and black pieces already engaged in a match.
“Let me do it,” Cameron said. He glanced at Cathy, and she quickly stood up to give him her seat. Cameron sat across from Yanina, focusing his gaze on the chessboard.
“Sis–in–law, do you want to start a live stream?” Gavin’s suggestion sparked an idea in Yanina. She was just playing around. wanting everyone to guess the result, never expecting it to create such a stir.
