Chapter 13
“My stomach hurts so much! You‘ re bullying a pregnant woman, you know?! You’ll all pay for this!” she cried out.
I glanced at the time on my phone and just as I set it down, the elevator dinged and a team of paramedics rushed toward us.
“Hello, this pregnant woman seems to be in distress. Could you please take her to the hospital?”
I had already anticipated that Starla would try something like this and as expected,
she did.
Once Starla was carted off in the
ambulance, I had the movers empty the entire apartment. I packed her belongings into garbage bags and left them piled up at the door.
When everything was taken care of, I arranged for an agent to come by and take photos in preparation to sell the property.

By the time Starla returned, she couldn’t even get inside–her things were all thrown out. With no options left, she decided to turn to the real estate mogul again, planning to use her pregnancy as leverage to extort money from him.
In the end, the real estate mogul’s wife found out and she sent a group of people to give Starla a beating.
With no other options left, Starla resorted to trying to attract men with a special interest in pregnant women, hoping to sell her body for money.
However, she ran into a pervert and the encounter turned violent. He was too rough, causing her to hemorrhage badly. By the time she arrived at the hospital, her child was already gone.
Starla survived, but the damage was severe -she would never be able to have children
again.
After that, I rarely heard anything about
Starla.
I had someone look into it and it turned out she returned to her hometown and married an honest man. However, when it was discovered that she couldn’t have children and her past deeds were exposed, her in- laws began abusing her and now, she’s beaten every day.
As for Samuel, just as I expected, he was sentenced to life in prison, doomed to
spend the rest of his days behind bars, with nothing but the cold steel walls for
company.
After selling off the two properties that had repulsed me, I returned home and took control of the family business.
One day, while I was handling some work, I received a call from my mother.
“My dear, our hometown is about to be redeveloped. The compensation will be distributed per person and we should each receive around one and a half million
dollars.”
I hung up and gazed out the window, taking in the vast expanse of blue sky.
Life truly was wonderful!
