I looked at the two hugging in the camera.
Liam was holding Brittany, and she was
smiling, all happy and content.
Behind them, the fireworks were going off, all
beautiful and romantic.
I took their pictures.
Liam set off fireworks for me when it was my
birthday.

Brittany offered to take a picture of us.
I was probably as happy as Brittany back
then.
Brittany looked sad.
“I’m so jealous! I hope someone treats me like
that one day.”
I told her she’d find someone.
Now, she had.
Ace snatched the phone.
“That’s enough. You’re not here to take
pictures of them.”

After the fireworks, Brittany and I went to the
restroom.
It was too crowded, so I didn’t go in.
I heard Liam and Ace talking.
“You and Brittany seemed to have fun. It’s
been a while since you and Willow had fun
like that, right?” Ace said.
“Yeah, Brittany reminds me of how it was
when I first met Willow. She’s so sweet and
thoughtful, it’s great.”
“Maybe you should just leave things as they
are. Brittany seems better for you. You’re
always complaining Willow is stubborn and
that bothers you, right?” Ace said.
“We’ve been together so long, Liam. You
can’t just end that.”
“Brittany says she doesn’t want anything
long–term, she is happy with the moment and
the time she spent with you.” Liam said.
“Ha.”
