Chapter 4
The man yelled, “My kid didn’t come out! Is he
still inside?!”

Mrs. Davis quickly answered, “The fire
department is rescuing everyone, don’t worry.”
The man shouted, “Don’t worry? The place is
on fire, what do you mean don’t worry?!”
Mrs. Davis started to say something, but a group of parents came up behind him!
Parents were stronger than the teachers, and
everyone pushed into the security room.
“Oh God, that’s my Ashley! She’s still in the
fire!”
“My kid’s in there, too! Why hasn’t anyone
saved them?!”
“The smoke’s so thick! They can’t breathe!”
Ashley’s mom saw me crying. “Mrs. Thompson!
What’s going on?!”

I cried, “They won’t let me help! The third
floor’s gonna blow! If we put out the fire in the
hall, they can get out!”
The parents went wild. They didn’t hesitate. “There are extinguishers here, let’s go!”
Mrs. Davis tried to block them. “It’s gonna explode, you can’t go in there! The fire
department is on it!”
“We can’t wait!” I handed out the extinguishers.
“The fire department is going to the fourth
floor! We have to do this ourselves!”
The parents rushed towards the hallway, but the teachers wouldn’t let them pass. “Don’t be
reckless! It’s too dangerous!”
The parents yelled, “You’re killing them! Do you
know that?!”
The man at the front didn’t care punching Mrs.

Davis. The other teachers backed off.
The whole group rushed into the hallway!
Because of what I’d put it off, I didn’t have time
to protect myself so I opened the fire
extinguisher as I stormed in.
The parents learned my methods and opened
the fire extinguishers as well.
At the same time, Chief Thompson, had
successfully embraced Mrs. Davis and daughter
and was prepared to escape the danger.
We were able to rescue all of them in under 5
minutes because my son got them near the
stairwell to wait to be saved!
As we got to safety, the kitchen explosion
started! All while my husband was comforting
“Mom, we don’t need dad this time,” said my 6
year old son.
Mrs. Davis was pointing at me telling my
husband that she knew I started the fire.
I knew this was coming because Mrs. Davis had
been having an affair for 10 years and now my
son was her target.
