After running through the dance routine twice, Tiana turned to Enoch and asked him to give it a shot. But he just stood there, unmoved. With a heavy sigh, she decided she was done. She thought, ‘Forget it. Asking a muscle–bound guy to dance is like asking him to jump off a cliff. I’d rather eat air than deal with that!
Tiana plopped down on the sofa, giving up on practice. “I’m going to check on how Arabella is doing,” she said, trying to avoid sitting near Enoch. As she stood to leave, he suddenly grabbed her wrist.
“Watch the video with me one more time.”
Tiana shot him an annoyed glare. “What’s the point if you aren’t going to dance after watching?”
He leaned closer, his strong jaw right next to her ear. “I’m learning in my heart.”

On the other side, Arabella and Gideon were moving through their parts without even a hint of contact. Arabella could tell Gideon wasn’t a fan of getting too close to girls. She guessed he probably didn’t even want to be part of this dating show.
She couldn’t help but steal a few more glances at the aloof young man. His white shirt was unbuttoned at the top, revealing a sunken collarbone. His pale skin had an almost ghostly pallor, and his handsome features looked like they belonged in a painting. With a sharp jawline and natural charm, he seemed made for the spotlight. Yet, there was a gloomy, lonely vibe about him that felt out of place for someone so young.
Arabella had read some comments about Gideon online. His parents had passed away when he was young, and he’d grown up with his grandmother, facing a lot of bullying as a kid. It seemed like he had put up walls around his heart, making it tough for anyone to reach him.
“What are you staring at?” he suddenly asked, in a cold and distant tone, catching her off guard.
Realizing she’d been caught, Arabella smiled brightly. “Because you’re really good–looking.”
Gideon’s long eyelashes drooped slightly, casting shadows on his handsome face. Arabella’s heart skipped a beat. Even though he was reserved and standoffish, who wouldn’t find that cute?
She scratched her head, trying to lighten the mood. “Gid, don’t be scared; I promise I’m not a cannibal.”

Tristan instructed the three female contestants to draw lots. The three pairs will perform in the order drawn
Tiana, Jocelyn, and Arabella reached into a bowl and pulled out colored balls. The first matchup was Arabella versus Gideon, then Jocelyn versus Simon, and finally. Tiana and Enoch.
Tiana’s heart sank. During practice, Enoch hadn’t danced with her even once. There was no way he’d pull it together for the actual performance. Adding to her frustration, she hadn’t eaten in nearly a day. I might as well be fasting, she thought bitterly, glaring at the cold and aloof man.
Her glare seemed to get to him. His deep, restrained eyes locked onto hers with an intensity that made her stomach flip. She quickly averted her gaze, touching her nose in embarrassment.
