Tiana lay sprawled on the bed, cradling a pillow as she slept peacefully. She had slipped into a soft nightgown, her long legs

When she saw Simon about to pull the trigger, she panicked, her blood running cold as she screamed. “Simon, no-!”
Bang: The bullet struck Enoch’s forehead, sending blood splattering in all directions. She jolted awake, sitting upright in bed, drenched in cold sweat, her chest rising and falling rapidly.
She looked around and realized that she was in her bedroom and not at the scene of a shooting. She lay back down, closed her eyes, and drifted back into a restless sleep.
On the balcony, Enoch leaned against the railing. The night wind ruffled his shirt, making him look lonely and sad.

The next morning, Tiana awoke slowly and instinctively checked herself. Her nightgown was perfectly intact, and she felt no pain. It seemed that Enoch hadn’t touched her last night.
At least he had the decency not to force himself on her while she was asleep.

As she got out of bed, she noticed a pile of condoms stacked like small mountain on the nightstand. Tiana’s lips twitched.
Is Enoch insane? Is he going to kill me with these? she thought flushed with embarrassment and anger, she threw them all in the trash.
After getting dressed, she stepped outside and caught the enticing aroma of breakfast. As she made her way to the dining table, she noticed that Enoch had already prepared breakfast for her.
She looked around but couldn’t spot him. Did he leave? Good. The less I see him, the less annoyed I feel, she thought. Just as Tiana started eating, the door to the condominium opened. She turned her gaze toward the entrance.
Enoch walked in wearing a short-sleeved shirt and shorts, his forehead and face glistening with sweat. He must have just returned from a run. His slightly parted lips and soft breaths exuled an inexplicable allure.
Tiana shivered and quickly looked away. “I fired you last time. You don’t need to come back,” she said.
Enoch changed into slippers and walked over. I’m here not as apodyguard but as your husband,” he replied.
