Chapter 49
It was a sunny weekend, with a gentle breeze carrying a hint of warmth.
Grace and Zackery arrived at the peaceful cemetery with their twin daughters.
The two little ones were like two cheerful birds, chirping and full of curiosity about the world.
Grace led her daughters by the hand and walked to the two graves she was most familiar with.
One of them was her grandmother’s, while the other one was hers and Antonio’s daughter Talia’s.
“Darlings, this is Grandma Tai and also Sister.”
Grace crouched down and whispered to her daughters, her voice tinged with an imperceptible choke.
The two daughters opened their big eyes and curiously looked at the tombstone. Although they didn’t quite understand the meaning of death yet, their mother’s expression made them quiet down.
“Will Grandma and sister see us?” the little daughter blinked her eyes and asked innocently.
Grace paused for a moment, then a gentle smile appeared at the corner of her mouth. “Yes, they were always watching us from above, and they will continue to protect us.”

Grace gratefully glanced at him, feeling warmth filling her heart.
With the company of Zackery and their two daughters, those pains also slowly healed over time. Although they would still scab over, it also meant that she would never forget the people she loved, her grandmother and Talia.
Grace slowly stood up and her gaze fell upon her grandmother’s tombstone. She remembered when she was a child, her grandmother would wave a fan to drive away mosquitoes for her while humming gentle lullabies.
“The moon was bright, the wind was gentle, and the tree leaves shone through the window lattice…”
“Grandma, I miss you so much,” Grace whispered softly, tears welling up in her eyes.
Grandmother has always been the most important person in her life. Without grandmother, there would be no her.
Then, her gaze shifted to Talia’s tombstone.
She remembered Talia’s adorable smile and the first word she shouted, “mommy,” when she was learning to speak.
I remembered how she used to act coquettishly in my arms.
“Talia, Mom came to see you.”
Grace reached out her hand and gently touched the tombstone, as if by doing so, she could touch her daughter’s face.

The two daughters seemed to sense their mother’s sadness, and they tightly hugged Grace’s legs, softly comforting her with their innocent voices.
“Mom, don’t be sad, we will always be with you.”
Grace lowered her head and looked at her two adorable daughters, her heart melting.
“Mom was not sad, Mom just missed them, but it’s okay, we will definitely meet in the future.”
“Darlings, thank you.”
Grace wiped away her tears and smiled, saying.
“Let’s talk about our lives together to Grandma and sister.”
So, Grace and Zackery sat in front of the tombstone with their daughters and began recounting the little moments of their lives.
They talked about the funny stories of the twin sisters in kindergarten, the cute little cat at home, and the beautiful scenery they saw together during their trip.
The sunlight fell on them, outlining a warm and beautiful
scene.
At this moment, Grace felt as if her grandmother and Talia were right beside her, smiling and listening to everything, feeling happy for their happiness.
