“What? The Lopez family’s daughter has been found?” someone said.
“I heard she has been missing for over a decade. It must not be easy to find her!” a person added.
“No wonder the Lopez family is making such a big deal about this party. I heard the Lopez family’s daughter was favored at a young age, and now she’s probably going to be even more pampered,” another person commented.
Amelie walked arm in arm with Joseph. A sudden unease crept into her heart when she heard Sergio’s words and the discussions around her.
At that moment, Catalina turned her head and reached into the darkness. The first thing that appeared before everyone was a slender arm, followed by a fiery red dress. Then, a beautiful face with a gentle smile appeared before everyone.
Amelie was dumbfounded. Her eyes widened in shock and her face filled with extreme horror.
Joseph’s eyes darkened as he gazed at the figure he had already known.

And at that moment, the elegant and graceful woman upstairs said slowly, “Hello, everyone. I am Julia Lopez.”

Julia stood on the stairs; her fiery red dress complemented her temperament even better than the previous white dress. It was as if she was enveloped in numerous rays of light.

Catalina held Julia’s hand. “Julia, don’t be nervous, and don’t be afraid.”

‘Say whatever I want to say?‘ Julia repeated in her mind, looking down at Amelie. After a moment’s thought, Julia smiled and said, “Miss Hamilton accidentally spilled wine on me just now. I was in a hurry to change back then and forgot to tell her something.” She looked at the pale–faced Amelie as if she was satisfied with Amelie’s expression. With a slight smirk, Julia said slowly, “Now, listen. It’s okay. I forgive you.”
Amelie trembled. She held Joseph’s arm tightly and stared motionless at the seemingly high and mighty figure of Julia.
The thought of going to the hospital to ask Julia to seduce some dignitaries made Amelie furious, and her cheeks blushed scarlet with embarrassment.
The onlookers‘ gazes fell on Joseph and Amelie.
Sensing Amelie’s unease, Joseph furrowed his brow and looked at Julia. He remained expressionless, his lips pursed tightly and the look in his eyes seemingly disapproving of Julia.
Julia was about to say something when Catalina walked over and stood beside her. “There’s another matter today.”
Julia was a little perplexed.

“For generations, the Lopez family and the Mullins family have been close, and our children are of similar age. Mrs. Mullins and I had an agreement.” Catalina smiled.
Julia felt it wasn’t good news. She gently tugged at Catalina’s sleeve but made eye contact with Rylie, who smiled at her.

“Now that Julia has returned after all these years, I think we can revisit the matter of the engagement between them, right?” Catalina continued.
