Julia’s slightly flustered expression caught the attention of Joseph, who raised an eyebrow. “What are you doing here?”
The cold and probing tone of the question made the already agitated Julia darken her eyes slightly. “Nothing. Just eating with some colleagues from the same department.”
Seeing her cold and aloof expression, Joseph furrowed his brows. A sense of restlessness instantly overshadowed the worry and heartache he had just felt.
There was really nothing much for the two of them to talk about.
About to leave, Julia suddenly stopped in her tracks and hesitantly said, “It’s fortunate I ran into you here, so I don’t have to make another trip. Here, this is for you.”
Saying so, Julia handed the key Joseph had previously sent her.

Julia nodded her head and pulled away from Joseph’s hand.

Without the coldness she showed toward Joseph just now, Julia smiled warmly and said to Byron, “I’m fine. Let’s go back to the private room first.”
“Julia, you are too tired today and need to rest more. I will arrange for a car to take you back home. If anyone from the department asks, I will explain to them.” Supporting Julia, Byron took out his phone and intended to call a car over.
Holding onto his phone, Julia turned her head and said gently, “No matter what, it’s impolite to leave early after I invited them for dinner.”
