Suddenly, Debra recalled something Drake had mentioned two days ago.
She hurried to the door and opened it.
Lara asked, “Ms. Frazier, is everything alright?”
Forcing a smile to mask her anxiety, Debra replied, “I’m not feeling well. I think I need some motion sickness pills.”
“Of course, Ms. Frazier. I’ll go grab some from the doctor.”
“Wait.”
“Yes, Ms. Frazier?”
“Wasn’t the ship supposed to dock in three days? Why haven’t we reached the port yet?”
“I’m not sure. The course is up to Mr. Lowe.”
Debra’s heart skipped a beat. She wondered if Drake had found out about her plans and changed the route subsequently.
“Alright, that’s fine. You can go now.”
“Alright.”
Once Lara had left to fetch the medicine, Debra stepped outside her room.
Peter appeared from around the corner and deliberately bumped into her shoulder as they crossed paths.
Debra stumbled from the impact, and Peter spoke with false innocence. “Oops, I didn’t see you there. Are you okay?”
Seeing the malicious glint in his eyes, Debra quickly formed a plan.
With a sudden gasp, she clutched her arm and fell dramatically to the ground.
Peter sneered, completely unbothered. “Really, Ms. Frazier? I barely nudged you. Do you expect me to believe you’re injured?”
Debra moaned in pain, “Ouch! Someone, help me.”
Peter’s smug expression faltered, and he looked around in panic. Several maids passing by saw it.
“Stop gawking and get back to work!” Peter snapped at them.
The maids scattered in fear.
Peter turned back to Debra, who remained on the floor. He rolled up his sleeves and snorted, “Drop the act! Was it you who told Mr. Lowe about me the other night, about how I laughed at your seasickness? Do you know how badly I got chewed out for that? And now you’re here playing the victim? Don’t push it, or I don’t mind dealing with you.”
Lara returned with the medicine and saw Debra lying on the floor.

Peter raised his hand and struck Lara across the face, leaving her cheek red and swollen.
Debra stared at Peter with barely concealed fury, her lips forming a thin line.
“Bitch, who are you to challenge me here?” Peter bellowed. “Even if I can’t touch her, I sure as hell can deal with you. Want me to toss you overboard and feed the sharks?‘
Lara trembled in fear.
Peter had always been a bully, but in front of Debra, he’d kept himself somewhat in check. Now, in a rage, he seemed ready to carry out his threat.
