Drake growled, “Kale, didn’t you hear me?”
“I did, boss.” Kale stiffened, turning back to Yvonne. “Miss Sharp, please leave.”
Surrounded by bodyguards, Yvonne understood the unspoken message. Drake was determined to protect Debra.
“Fine! Don’t regret this,” Yvonne spat before storming downstairs.
The crowd on the first floor quickly averted their gazes, too afraid to even glance in her direction. Yvonne was an untouchable lady. Except for Drake, no one dared humiliate her
like this.
A ripple of whispers spread through the onlookers, all wondering about Debra’s identity.
“Keep playing,” Drake told Debra before heading back to the lounge.
“Boss, are we just going to let Miss Sharp go like that? What if she causes trouble?” Kale asked, concerned.
“Have someone keep an eye on her,” Drake replied, tugging at his tie in frustration.
For some reason, he had felt unusually hot and irritable since earlier.
“Boss, are you alright?”
“I just feel hot.”
“Hot?”
Kale quickly moved to open a window, allowing a cool night breeze to blow in. However, it did nothing to ease Drake’s discomfort.
He became increasingly restless and abruptly stood up from his chair.
“I’m going to the third floor.”

Kale quickly relayed instructions to Harland, who was standing at the door. Harland nodded, his expression serious. “I’ll get it covered.”
With that, he hurried off.
From her position, Debra noticed their sneaky behavior, her eyes following Harland until he headed to the third floor.
Suddenly, footsteps echoed from behind her.
“Focus,” Drake said, his voice sending a shiver down her spine.
She quickly refocused on the piano, terrified that he might notice something was amiss.
Fortunately, Drake barely spared her a glance. He walked right past the piano and headed toward the elevator.
Debra’s mind raced. Drake hadn’t gone up when he brought her here yesterday.
Smelling a rat, she intentionally hit the wrong note and then winced in pain, clutching her
hand.
An attendant rushed over in concern. “Ms. Frazier, are you alright? Should I call a doctor?”
“No need,” she replied, shaking her head. “It’s an old injury. I can’t play for too long. I’ll just head to the restroom.”
