Chapter 21
Chapter 21
RAMON’S POV
“Talk to me Blane, how did your sightseeing go?” I asked my beta seating across from me in my pack office.
He had spent the entire day at the silverpaw borders. I specifically asked him to go in the day because it would be less suspicious.
At night, everyone’s guard was up because an attack was more expected to happen at night.
“Nothing actually.”
“What do you mean, nothing?” I asked, confused as to how he could have seen or discovered nothing..
Alpha Ferins was always up to no good. Be it preparing an attack, or gearing to subjugate a pack he considered structureless, There was just always something happening
“We spent all day lurking like you asked, and really didn’t find anything suspicious. The wolves went about their day like usual, and even his son’s did the same.”
“Aha! The infamous sons known to always have a scheme up their sleeves were on good behaviour the entire day? Something is not adding up. They’re baiting me,” I said, rising to my feet.
I walked out of my table, and began pacing back and forth.
“What is Ferins up to now? Is this one of his little tricks to get me to let my guard down?”
“I don’t think that’s what he’s doing. Our soldiers are still in battle with his soldiers at the other border. He’s also not making any attempt to bring in more soldiers, despite how hard they are losing. His son’s are also not fighting. Maybe he just wants the war to end?”
I hissed, and stopped pacing long enough to face him. “You think alpha Ferins just want peace? The man who started this war in the first place? If he wanted peace, he would have called for a meeting with me. He would have come for his daughter. I don’t think you know what you’re talking about.”
“So what is it going to be? Soon, we would be victorious at the south moon borders, then what?”
“We keep going. We inch closer and closer to his pack,” I said stubbornly.
“You know we cannot throw our own out to the wind just like that. Silverpaw is not a pack you can just attack. We don’t have backup soldiers that can do as good as a job the ones we have now are doing. I saw them in training and Daniel was right, they’re not ready.”
“Then I would make them ready!” I said in a cold, calculating voice.
“This is alla games, Blanc. Can’t you see it? It’s one thick plot that I cannot wait to decimate piece by piece. First, I’ll start with the festival of alphas. What are the odds we get to host it?”
“Well out of the seven packs, three voted for us, and three voted for the silverpaw. Moonsea are supposed to be the tie breaker.”
“Good thing that bastard owes me for pulling him out of debt a long time ago then. Here’s what you’ll do, I need him reminded of his debt. Tell him how exactly I want my debt to be paid. If I don’t end up getting to host the festival of alpha’s, I will come for him like a shadow of the night. And if he survives my attack, I’ll drop my crown as an alpha. Get to work Blane!” 1 clapped him away.
He jumped to his feet, and bowed, before turning around, and walking away.
Alone in the office, I sighed. My duties recently had tripled, and it was taking a toll on me.

Chapter 21
I had to keep up with everything, and it was getting harder to do just that.
There were Ferins and his son’s. I had met some of them in passing. With what I saw, they loved a little violence. The fact they were not threatening to storm my pack, or even preparing to was just hard to believe.
And if it were to be true, then it all boiled down to Ferins. I wasn’t stupid enough not to recognize someone who was smart, and could do battle correctly,
If he was letting his soldiers get killed, without any repercussions, then he was planning something huge.
Now more than ever, I needed my soldiers strong. Maybe I’d have to take over training for a while.
Daniel has done a good job over the years, but sometimes if you want to get something done in the right way, then you need to do it by yourself.
I was walking back to my table when a scent caught my nose. Subconsciously. I began to sniff. My sniffing took me to my stash
of wine.
As I opened the cabinet, I found what was causing the overwhelming scent.
I pulled it out, and brought it to my nose. It was a hair brush.
The girl that had helped me capture Sonia had given it to me so I could familiarise myself with the scent of my captive.
The very first time I sniffed the brush, my wolf had leaped like a startled fish in the sea.
I should have known something was wrong from that point.
Then I saw the person behind the scent that night. Big beautiful eyes that looked like they needed to be shown the pleasures of the world in a way only a proper man and wolf could.
They had looked into my eyes, and I had felt a feral need to consume her. I knew in that instant that she was nothing but
trouble.
If she was just a mate that I could have easily discarded, I would have given into my lust for her, the very first time I saw her.
But when I realised she was more than just a mate- a fated mate, I became irritable.
I hated to be controlled, and she was a source of control.
Bringing the brush closer to my nose, I sniffed it for so long, my nostrils became filled with her.
“Damn you!” I muttered, and suddenly, a knock sounded on the door.
I knew who was there before the door cracked slightly. Tossing the brush back into the cabinet, and shutting it, I hurried. forward, just as Lorena came into the room.
“Al-“her words were caught away as my lips came crashing down on hers.
One woman’s scent had set me on fire. Because of that scent, my body was going crazy. But it was going to be another woman who would quench the fire that was burning me from within.
“It’s been so long you’ve been this passionate,” Lorena said, as I dragged her against the wall, and brought her legs around waist. “I’ve missed this hire in you,” she purred.

y for her. Because whilst I had her pinned against the wall, and her claws dug into my back as I drilled into her and over again, all I could see were those haunting eyes.
or over
The way they showed all the expressions she felt. I closed my eyes, and her face haunted me. I had hurt her badly, and she had cried. Because of me, she cried.

My hand went around Lorena’s throat, as I flipped her around her.
To balance the strange guilt I felt. I increased the pressure on her neck, as I hardened and approached the pinnacle of pleasure.
