As the battle raged on, I felt a sharp cramp nipple through my abdomen, the twins shifting restlessly within me. The pain was sharp and insistent, but I channeled it into every strike, every bite.
Turned to see Bets Blane pinned beneath a rogue, her daggers just out of reach. With a snarl, I launched myself at her attacker, my claws raking across his side as I drove him off her.
“Blane!” I growled, helping her to her feet.

As the blood moon began to dip lower in the sky, the tide of the battle turned definitively in our favor. Lorena’s forces were in disarray, their numbers dwindling under the relentless assault of our united packs.
