Chapter 31
RAMON’S POV
The party had continued, but there was still no sign of either Sonia, or Daisy. I hoped Daisy didn’t think to leave with the girl until I gave my approval.
I knew she truly believed there was something she could do, but I was yet to be convinced.
Sure, her little display earlier would sway someone naive, but I thought it was all an act
She had found the perfect way to act innocent, whilst actively being very much, a deviance.
Despite all of these, I couldn’t help but recall the moment she stepped into the party, all over again.
She had almost stunned me out of my seat. The more I tried to get her to look like crap, the more she bloomed.
Sure she looked weak, and even pale, but it somehow didn’t take away from her beauty.
I didn’t know if I was supposed to be pissed or not.
The door opened again, and Blane stepped into the room. He had finally returned with a message for me.
I didn’t want the party to be stopped on that account, so I rose to my feet, and went to him.
“Let’s go, I said, before he could speak
He turned around, and followed me out of the room.
“You have news for me?” I asked as we went towards my office.
“I do,” he said discreetly.
1 didn’t speak again until we stepped into the room, and shut the door behind us
“Tell me,” I said on my way to my
chair.
He waited for me to sit first before he began.
“I have great news, alpha. You are going to host the festival of alpha’s
A smile appeared on my face at my victory. I already knew I was going to be victorious, I just hated the rigorous process I had to go through to ensure success.
“You’ve done well, Blane. Good thing we’re celebrating, right? You should join us.”
“I would love that alpha, but first, I need to take a shower,” he said.
I smiled knowingly. Blane was not going to take a shower. At least not after leaving this room. But he had earned whatever maid he was going to bury his hardness into. I couldn’t fault him after a job well–done.
“Do whatever you want to do,” I said dismissively.
As the door shut behind him, it opened shortly after.
I lifted my head and saw Daisy. Beside her was Sonia.
My wolf lurched, awake at her sudden entrance. My blood sizzled. Desire sprung on me like unexpected rain.
She was stunning. There were not enough words to describe how beautiful she was. Sadly, she was also the daughter of the one person I hated the most.
Stifling whatever desire that had formed due to her presence, I ushered them in.

Have you drawn a conclusion, Daisy” I asked the woman I considered a good friend.
She didn’t sit immediately, instead, she took a few seconds to stare at me. Things were beginning to get uncomfortable.
There was no expression on her face. And as usual. Sonia had her head down.
Stavbe she had discovered what I was trying to tell her. Sonia was no healer. A spoiled child who needed to be kicked off her high horse, yes, but she was no healer.
Why did you leave the party?” She finally spoke as she took a seat.
“I had information from Blane. You must have seen him leave.”
“Yeah. He told me you were here. Did you get it!”
What do you think?”
She Snally smiled. “I told you there was nothing to worry about. Only a fool, or a blind skunk would have thought otherwise. Now back to me.
Tve been waiting.” My mouth watered in wait for her conclusion.
My eyes couldn’t help but discreetly drift towards Sonia. She was still standing there shyly. As beautiful as the first day I stole her right under the nose of Ferins the supposed mighty.
“Sonia, please take a seat. You shouldn’t be standing like a guard.” Daisy said.
I had not given her the permission to take a seat, so I was intrigued to see if she would take her orders.
Slowly, she lifted her head and stared at me.
“Good girl.” I thought. She was aware of who controlled her.
“You heard the alpha.” I said.
She took a seat behind us, and buried her head back to the ground.
The bold girl that had walked in and went straight to the alpha to ask her questions was nowhere to be found. She had returned into her shell, definitely trying to annoy me.
But what did I care? She could do whatever she wanted, and I would do whatever I liked.
“I’ve made a decision. Ramon. I want the girl to come with me. Like I said before, you can choose if you want to come along.
or send someone to follow us.
“Are you sure this is the road you’re willing to take? You’re not going to blame me if something happens, will you?”
“Something like?” She asked, and I could hear the warning in her voice.
Yet. I miked it. If I couldn’t tell her what I thought as a friend, then this was no friendship.
“I don’t think she can help you with what you seek. But if you insist, Daisy, she can go with you. Our plans still stand. It has to be just before the dawn of day to avoid suspicions. I won’t be going with you, because I have to prepare for the festival. I’ll send either lane, or someone else. But no one must know about this arrangement. If anything goes wrong, you’ll have me to
contend with”
“I don’t like when you threaten me, but I understand it. Nothing’s going to go wrong”
“Good, then shall we return to the party?”
“Why, yes? I’ve not eaten to my satisfaction yet. Also, I want her to eat. The girl needs some flesh in her bones.”
She didn’t say it out loud, but I knew she was trying to communicate something. Whatever bond she had formed with Sonia. I knew sooner or later, it was going to lead to rebellion

And rebellion was a sin, I would always punish.
