SONIAS POV
I opened my eyes to the bright light of the day hovering around it.
Shielding my gaze, I immediately moved my body. But as I r

There
was a man. The startling realisation pushed me off the bed, and I dropped to the ground.
After I landed on the ground, my head started to throb.
I couldn’t move, even when footsteps rushed into the room.
“Sonta?” I heard a familiar voice call. Somewhere deep in my mind, I knew it was a recognizable voice. But the pain in my head would not let me Into my memory bank.
1 held my head in my palm, my face squeezing with raw slicing pain.
A jolt of sizzling waves shot through me when I felt a hand on my shoulders. “Sonia, it’s me. It’s Daisy”
something snapped in my brain in that instant. Perhaps I had finally pushed through the barriers blocking me from putting a face to the name.
“He’s okay?” Someone screeched, just as I was about to lift my head.
1 humed my head deeper into my palm, as the pain returned with full force.
“What?” The Daisy person said, and I felt her hand leave my shoulders

When I opened my eyes again, my eyes were staring into stars. I blinked, and the stars dissolved into the moon
It took me a couple of minutes to realise I was staring at a ceiling which had an artistic depiction of the sky.
“Sonia“” A concerned voice called.
I turned my head to the side, and a tear dropped down my eyes. Confused as to the reason I was suddenly crying, I held my chest.
“What is it, so I can help you like you have helped me?”
I recognized her now. She was the alpha Daisy. A very nice woman. She was beautiful, and had a generous heart. 1 could trust her.
My body still felt wobbly,
My, but I moved
my lips to speak.
“It hurts here.” I tapped my chest multiple times, because it really was in pain.
“Is that where Tyler’s hurt came from?”
Now I was lost, I couldn’t figure out what she was asking about, or who Tyler was.
A second person appeared by her side, and dropped to their knees
“Hello,” the masculine voice called to me.
I smiled, and stretched out my hand to their face. A memory rose out of my depths.
While I was adeep, I found him wandering about. He said he was uncertain about the future. Worried about the woman he loved. He wanted to alleviate her worries of the possibility of a curse Hut in doing so, he almost lost himself.
His illness wasn’t borne out of any physical cause. It was a mental one. We hugged, and he dissolved into thin air afterwards.
“It’s good to see you again. You don’t have any sadness in your eyes anymore.”
” took it away You took my pain, and now you’re in pain,” he said
1 shook my head and more tears spilled off my face, “No, don’t say that. I’ll pass. I promise,”
I wasn’t convinced this pain would leave my chest, but I had hope because he was fine.

When I opened my eyes again, I saw someone standing beside me with a tray in her hand.

The alpha. He ordered me to bring you back home. Alpha Daisy called to say you aren’t doing really fine.”
“Oh but I’m fine now. Look, I said, and twirled.
I stopped when I didn’t feel the effect of the gown I was putting on when I arrived. Looking down, I discovered I was wearing a short gown.
“I changed your clothes myself,” the alpha Daisy said, stepping into the room.
Covering my mouth to silence the gasp that slipped through, my eyes widened.
Thank you so much, Sonia. I know I said it before, but you were still a little sick then. Perhaps, you didn’t hear me.”
My hand dropped from my mouth. “No, I did hear you. And I saw the man you love. I’m glad he’s fine now. I saw him in my dreams, you know.”
“You’re a dreamer,” she said in a voice that raised suspicion.

“Nothing” she shook her head, but drew closer to me. “I was hoping I could have a day with you here, but the alpha wants you home. I will ensure I see you tomorrow though. It’s the festival of alphas after all.”
“Promise!” I asked.
“I promise.”
We hugged tightly, and I felt every bit of love coming from her arms. When she eventually let go, I had a smile on my face.
She escorted Ivy and I to a car already waiting for us. That short walk enabled me to see bits of the pack. I didn’t see a lot of wolves, but the few I saw had genuine light in their faces. And most importantly, the atmosphere was serene.
“Sorry Tyler couldn’t say goodbye to you. He’s asleep.
“I don’t mind.” I replied.
