Chapter 48
Alpha Ramon was going to go to Daisy’s preparation room first, but he changed his mind when he entered into a passage area leading up to the roon, and found a sculpture he would much rather had preferred not to bump into
He thought he had it successfully set on fire, but for it to show up again in his path, it told him that someone was slacking in their

“Good day alpha Ramon,” she said picking up stones to throw away.

He figured the best way to get the truth out of Ivy was usually to be calm.
The other way was to order her. It didn’t always give the best result.
“I didn’t.” she replied.
His nose wriggled because he did not believe a word she had just said. With his hands still placed behind him, he began to pace back and forth. “Why are you protecting her? Your family too was caught in the crossfire.”
“She didn’t do anything, alpha Ramon. Her father did. I don’t believe in punishing the sins of the father on the children. If life happened that way, none of us would be save. It’s not like our parents were saints either.”
“Hold it right there, Ivy! You have no right to speak about my family that way. They were good. Everyone testified to that fact. They didn’t deserve to die in such a bloody way.”
She finally rose to get feet, and turned to face him. “Everyone has a different version of us in their stories. To me, you’re the bravest alpha, and the kindest sould I have ever seen. To Sonia, you’re a beast.”
“Are you trying to say some people don’t consider my parents, good? I dare them to say it to my face!” He grinded his jaws in pure fury.
“You’re letting Lorena influence you too much. She’s not a good look on you. She’s everything you would abhor if you weren’t on this journey for blood.”
“It’s called revenge!”
“No, it’s an egotistical battle. Anymore, and we would be finding the difference between yourself and Ferins!” She threw back at him fearlessly. He paused in shock. She had never talked so sharply at him.
“Ramon!” She called strongly, hoping he could come back to his senses,
“Just because you’re my sister doesn’t give you the right to talk to me that way
“Hall sister. Half sister,” she repeated in case he didn’t hear. “And please keep it quiet. I would rather no one knows. Like I said before, everyone has a different version of us in their stories”

boy was the one person he trusted to tell him the truth. She was blunt with it, and never hid her mouth.
He sull wondered why she would rather act like a servant than claim her rightful place as his half–sister.
There were things far beyond has understanding, and every time he tried to make sense of it, he just grew more frustrated.
But this battle wasn’t one he planned on losing.
He hated Ferins and everything that had to do with him. She wanted to protect Sonia. They were at both ends of the divide, and only one ketsin could come out victorious.
By the moon goddess, it would be him.
He whirled himself around, and with determination, set for the room.
The sculpture was still at the spot he saw it before. Closing his eyes to the haunting image, he pushed his body forward until he got to the room.
He didn’t bother to knock, but instead, pushed the door open, and stepped into the room.
There she stood, right in the center of the room, stark naked. She was tied to all over with ropes. Like a display. Just the way he should have her displayed tonight.
is eyes roamed all over her body, and his own body rattled with need.

Her head was buried to the ground, and he could tell she was unconscious. They had heeded to his instructions. The next time she woke would be on display for the alpha’s to see. Perhaps, he would even start a bid for her body.
This was the time he would usually smile. A sick plan like that needed a sinister smile to back it up.

But all he felt was real sickness at the thought of selling her off. He hated that thought. He didn’t want anyone else viewing her body the way his needy eyes were doing in that moment.
She was his. Meant for his eyes alone.
“Why do you have to be so beautiful?” One long finger reached out to her chin and lifted it up,
“You’re torturing me. Even in your silence, I feel haunted. Who are you? Why have you shown no signs of being the way they say you are?”
He let go, and took a step back so he could just stare at
other.
She was the most beautiful image brought to life, and he hated that she was part of the one thing he had to hate.
“Daya!” He growled.
A woman dashed into the room, and bowed. “Alpha.”
“I want her clothed,” he ordered, and walked out of the room.
