Celeste’s POV
The sun was beginning to rise as I prepared to leave the Dark Night Pack’s grounds for the last time. The air was crisp with a light mist hung over the trees, making the forest around us look quiet and peaceful. It would be a sight that I would miss, but I was ready to start anew.
I glanced over at Albert, who stood beside me. I felt a weight lift off my shoulders as I took one last look around. After all, I knew well that I would leave this place forever.
But before we could set off, I heard hurried footsteps behind me. Turning, I found myself face–to–face with Leo. His face looked worn. Most importantly, his eyes. full of regret and something close to desperation.
“Celeste, wait,” he called out, taking a few steps closer.

He then continued, “Please, don‘ t go.”
I took a deep breath, keeping my voice steady as I told the Alpha, “Leo, there’s nothing left for me here. You have to
understand that.”
He shook his head, his hands clenching at his sides.
“I know I made mistakes, Celeste. I know I hurt you more than I can even begin to fix, but … please. Can we just talk? Can you give me one more chance?” he pleaded.
I glanced over at Albert, who stood quietly, giving me space to speak with Leo. Then, I turned back to my ex–husband. The pain in his eyes was unmistakableably visible, but that wasn’t my concern anymore.
“Leo. I gave you so many chances. Each time, you broke my trust. You hurt me in ways I can’t just forget,” I said, recalling my painful past with the man.
“I was wrong,” he confessed.

He then added, “I know that now, so I’d do anything to change it. Just … don’t leave me like this. Don’t leave our pack.”
I shook my head as I told him, “The Moon Goddess has already shown me my true path, Leo. My mate my fated mate ….. is Albert.”
…
The Alpha flinched as if my words stung him. For a long moment, he looked at me. The hope slowly fading from his expression.
“So, that’s it? You‘ re just going to forget everything we had?” he asked sadly.
“I can’t forget it,” I said gently.
“But I can move on. And that’s what I’m going to do. It’s what you should do too, Leo,” I continued.
Leo closed his eyes briefly as if he was gathering his strength. When he looked at me again, his gaze was resigned. That was when I knew that he finally accepted that I had moved on.

“I just … I just hope you find the happiness I couldn’t give you, Celeste,” he weakly said it.
I nodded. Although I felt sad for my relationship with Leo, but I was happy to finish it. That was enough for me.
“Thank you, Leo,” I said to my ex- husbad.
With that, he turned and walked away. His figure fading into the early morning mist. I took a deep breath and looked over at
Albert, who held out his hand with a warm smile. Without hesitation, I took it, feeling a new beginning ahead of me as we left the Dark Night Pack behind.
A month later, the Ivory Fang Pack was buzzing with excitement.
The entire pack was preparing for my mating ceremony with Albert and Albert’s coronation ceremony as the Alpha of the Ivory Fang Pack. My pack became extremely busy for these two

events. While it was hectic, I loved it.
Everywhere I looked, there were smiles and laughter. After years of pain and betrayal, I was finally moving forward, and I could feel the love and support of my new family all around me. This was just a beautiful moment that I would never forget.
Albert and I had arranged for the Moon Priestess to come and perform the mating ceremony, and I could hardly wait to finally be bound to him as my true mate. My heart felt light as I prepared in my room. The soft fabric of my dress brushed against my skin as I looked at myself in the mirror.
“Luna, everyone’s ready,” my attendant, Maren, told me.
I smiled back at her as I thanked her,
“Thank you, Maren. I’ll be right out.”
Taking a deep breath, I smoothed my dress and headed out to the ceremony circle. Albert was waiting for me there. His gaze

filled with warmth as he watched me approach him. As I reached his side, the future Alpha took my hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze.
After that, both of us summoned the Moon Priestess. Not long after that, the priestess came. She then stepped forward.
The Moon Priestess held up a vial of sacred water, pouring it into a small silver bowl and whispering an ancient blessing.
“Are you, Celeste Albright of the Ivory Fang Pack, ready to enter the mating bond with Albert Starfire of the Ivory Fang
Pack?” she asked me with a voice filled with reverence.
Albert looked at me, his smile soft but full of certainty.
“Yes, Moon Priestess,” I answered.
“And you, Albert Starfire of the Ivory Fang Pack, ready to enter the mating bond with Celeste Albright of the Ivory Fang Pack?” she asked my mate the same question.

My mate answered, “Yes. More than ready.”
When the Moon Priestess heard our confirmation, she continued the ritual and chanted softly as she guided us to hold each other’s hands over the diamond
bowl.
Then, I felt a surge of energy between us. A connection that grew stronger with each word the priestess spoke. By the time the ceremony was complete, I could feel the bond in my heart with Albert‘ s. Not just our human forms, our wolf forms also felt as if they became one.
The pack erupted into cheers, surrounding us with joy and love. I looked up at Albert as he leaned down, pressing a gentle kiss to my forehead. He had become my mate fully.
‘You‘ re finally mine,‘ he whispered through the mind–link, his voice filled with happiness.

He continued through the mind–link,
And I promise, Celeste, I’ll never take you for granted.‘
I told him through the mind–link, ‘I know you won’t.‘
The celebration that followed was lively and filled with laughter. The pack had prepared a grand feast, and as the music played, I joined the others in the joyous celebration of our new life together. People came up to congratulate us, sharing kind words and toasting to our happiness.
As I took a moment to catch my breath, I noticed a familiar figure standing just beyond the crowd. My heart skipped a beat when I realized it was Leo, watching me from a distance. His expression was one of quiet sorrow, his eyes filled with regret as he looked at me.
Albert noticed my gaze and followed it, his expression softening as he saw Leo.
“Do you want to go talk to him?” he asked

gently.
I shook my head, feeling a pang of sadness but also a sense of closure.
“No, I think he understands now. This is my happiness, and he has to let go,” I told my mate.
Leo lingered for a moment longer. His gaze meeting mine from afar. The man gave me a small nod, almost as if he were silently wishing me well before he turned to walk away. I really hoped that he would find his
own peace.
Albert put his arm around me, pulling me close.
The man told me through the mind–link,
‘You’ve made it through, Celeste. Everything that happened… it’s behind us now.‘.
I leaned into him, feeling the warmth of his embrace.
‘Yes, it’s finally over,‘ I murmured

through the mind–link.
This was the happiness that I deserved. Although the road to happiness was rocky, it was well–deserved. I hoped that everyone would find their happiness, just like me.
