Chapter 2
Everything started spinning and I ignored the
two people in the room and started crying.
“…Gramps! Why couldn’t you wait for me!”
My eyes blurred, and I just remembered all
the moments we had together.
“…Mikey, don’t be sad, Gramps wouldn’t want
this.”
Lucy rubbed her eyes and consoled me, but I
grabbed her arm and said, “Don’t touch me!”
She was surprised and looked for Chad to
help her. Chad pretended to cry.
“Honey he’s going through a lot, give him

time. He wouldn’t want to see us fight.”
I heard Chad’s voice and remembered he was
in the room and said, “Why are you here?!
How can you even be here?!”
Chad shrugged, and sighed, “Mikey, can you
relax? Don’t fight in front of Gramps. He
wouldn’t want to see us argue, right?”
I grabbed his collar and said, “If you didn’t do
that messed up thing! Gramps wouldn’t have
ended up in the hospital that day! How can
you even be here?!”
Lucy screamed and grabbed my wrist.
“Mikey! I’m the lawyer and asked the cops to
let Chad visit! Don’t make him sad!”
L
Lucy managed to pull me off of Chad, and I
couldn’t do anything to fight back, and looked
at Chad, who looked proud and sad.
The two of them still continued to pretend
that Chad was still in prison, but Chad was in
a suit and hadn’t gotten his head shaved, how
can you pretend he’s in prison like this?!
I closed my eyes and calmed down, and
looked at Lucy, “The will? Was the lawyer
here when Gramps died?”
Lucy also looked sorrowful, “His lawyer didn’t
see him before he died, and in the end had
me acting as the temporary lawyer.”
I laughed to myself, and knew she would have
a reason to dismiss me.
r
She didn’t want me to come with her so she
can get here the first and quickest.
Once she’s there with Chad, she can make
anything happen and I won’t have any say on
what Gramps said.
Never did I think that being a lawyer will hurt
me like this.
Chad started crying and took out the will.
“Gramps gave me everything before he died.”
Chapter 3
“Are you kidding me?! I’m his grandson! He
wouldn’t give it to me, but you, someone he
adopted?!”
<
Hearing what he said, I became so angry that
I wanted to hit him.
“Mikey! Please! Relax! It’s the truth!”
Lucy came and held me tight, saying,
“Gramps wanted Chad to have seventy
percent of the company! And the other thirty
percent to be donated to charity! Gramps
was crying when he said it! He said that he
felt bad for Chad being in prison! All this is to
compensate him!”
I shrugged her off of me and tried to calm
down, and looked at Chad who was trying to
look sorrowful but I knew he was happy, and I
said, “That’s bulls**t! After what he did,
Gramps wanted to cut off all ties with him!
How can he feel bad?! How would he give
him meravel Dan’t even pretend
<
because you can’t even sell me on it!”
I didn’t believe in the will and said Chad was
nothing, and I started to lose control again.
“Enough!”
Slap!
I became silent when Lucy slapped me.
She slapped me hard and I turned my head,
and I felt pain in my cheeks.
Lucy didn’t want me to talk about what
happened three years ago and she had to do
something.
She looked at me disappointed, “Mikey! I’m
so disappointed! I thought you were the most
<
Illidi!
I looked at her face and laughed, “Stare?! All
those things were mine to begin with! I’m the
eldest son of the family! I’m taking a fake will
to believe it’s the truth?!”
Lucy couldn’t believe what I said, and started
to cry, “You don’t even believe me?! We’ve
been married for three years! I don’t even
know if you even love me.”
I glared at her, “Lucy! Can you not even laugh
at what you’re saying?! Do you even know the
word love?!”
I said as I looked at Chad, and I would have
thought the two of them killed Gramps if I
hadn’t known how he’s been doing.
<
Lucy looked at me with disappointment.
Just then, the rest of my family arrived.
My parents died in a car crash, and my family
wanted what I had, and only calmed down
when Gramps adopted Chad.
Gramps wanted me to have someone to help
me, but Chad never helped me!
If Chad didn’t do that thing on my wedding
night, Gramps would have let him live a rich
life.
“Gramps must have had his reasons to give
Chad the company, why are you yelling
here?!”
One of the relatives said and the rest of

One of the relatives said, and the rest of
them started blaming me.
It was better for them to have the money with
Chad than for me to have it.
Chad didn’t realize this.
He started pretending to be sad and took the
