“It’s okay: I didn’t wait that long. I told him, since it was the truth.
“I’m starving, I haven’t had time to eat anything since lunch. He glanced through the menu, and I picked mine from the table, going through it. I settled for sandwiches and a smoothie. Hayden was getting a big burger with fries and a smoothie.
“So what did you think about the game? Hayden trails off as I steal a Try off his plate. I just couldn’t help myself.
“I will admit, it was fun. I have never been to a school game before”
Hayden seemed shocked at what I had said. “Not even once,” he asked, raising up one finger.
I shook my head before speaking. “No.”
“Why,” he asked, stuffing a bunch of fries in his mouth.
I shrug my shoulders. I guess 1 preferred Netflix and chill to a school game on a Friday night”
He nods his head. “So what are your thoughts now?”
“If you hadn’t asked me to come, I probably would be at home binge watching my favourite TV shows, but like I said, it was fun, totally didn’t expect it to be, but it was.”
A smirk graced his face. “Aren’t you glad 1 asked you to come.”
“Don’t get cocky on me now.” The both of us let out a laugh. This was the first time we had a reasonable conversation and laughed. I guess it wasn’t bad getting to know him more.
“Since we are trying to be civil with each other, Jet’s play ten questions, live for me and five for you” Hayden suggested.
“Sure, that doesn’t sound like a bad idea.” I say, putting the last sandwich in my mouth, then stretching my hands to take a few fries off Hayden’s plate.

“Let’s get out of here.” He smiles, grabbing my hand. He put the money on the table as we walked out of the place, hand in hand.
“How about we both get ice cream?” I point to the ice cream shop beside the cafe.
“Sure, I don’t see why not.”
“Go Team Chocolate! I exclaim
He gave me a look like I was crazy, and he had a look of disgust on his face, “Chocolate, that’s just gross.”

We walk into the ice cream parlour, and I breathe in the sweet aroma: it smells so good.
“Hey Hayden. E bello vederti, chi e quella bella signora accanto a te.” I looked at the older woman behind the counter. She speaks in a different language; it sounds like Italian, and I had no idea what she said.

We hung around till we finished our ice cream as we chatted with Adeline. I must confess, I really like hanging out with Hayden. I didn’t know he was kind and funny, I guess there was more to him I didn’t know about.
My phone rang, interrupting my thoughts. I looked at the caller ID and saw it was my moms “Hey mom.”
“Bree, why aren’t you back yet?”
Shit I forgot to tell her I was going to come back late since I didn’t plan to hang out with Hayden after the game. Im sorry, mom. I forgot to tell you I was going to come back a little bit late?
“Dr’i ten: I want you home before 10:0,” she says, ending the call.

“Yeah, it’s nothing to worry about: I forgot to inform my mom abour coming home late, so she wants me back before 10-30 I looked at my phone clock to see it was 10:10 pm.
“Let me drop you off.”

“I insist,” he says. I wave goodbye to Adeline before stepping into Hayden’s car. He drove me home, stopping two houses away. I didn’t want my mom to make a big deal of it if she saw us

Why can’t I stop, why can’t I get rid of this feeling? I plopped down on my bed. God, why do I feel like this, even after all these years? I will couldn’t get her out of my head and heart, no matter what I med. This girl must have done something to me; she must have, unless why can’t I stop this feeling in my heart.
The first time I saw her on the playground, I was only seven I had gone with Adeline to the park, but I wasn’t in the mood to play or anything, one being I was pissed that my parents wouldn’t be back for my birthday. That was when I saw her playing by the swing with another girl her age, and I remember how mesmerized I was by how beautiful she was
I tried everything to get her to notice me, but it was fruitless, it was like I didn’t exist. I remember the beginning of our unending hatred, at least from her, because I never felt anything but love for her.
A group of boys were playing a prank and took her Barbie doll, dipping it in dirt. I was able to recover it from them and tried washing it as best as I could, and when she saw it with me, she assumed I took it to spite her or something of the sort. I wasn’t angry because she finally noticed me. I know it’s silly, but not to me.
When I found out she had slept with Ace and he had taken her virginity, I was pissed and jealous that I wasn’t her first, and I guess I wanted her to feel at least something for me. I started dating Sophie, which was not my best choice.
And when Daniel threw a party, I wasn’t expecting her to be there, but she was. She looked so beautiful and sexy that I tried fighting with my nerves. to go talk to her. I ended up chickening out and heading to the kitchen, downing any alcohol I saw,
Even though I had a lot of drinks, I don’t get drunk that easily, but I was tipsy. I had wanted to call it a night and go to the bedroom where stay any time I hang out in Daniel’s place. That was when I saw her swaying those ass of hers in a way that was as sexy as her. I didn’t even realize it when I walked towards her.
It felt amazing to have my arms wrapped around her waist as she grinded on me. When she turned to stare at me, I was scared she was going to walk out on me, but she didn’t. Instead, she agreed to follow me up the stairs to the bedrooITI.
That night was the best night of my life. I had woken up before she did, staring at her as she slept. I knew she would be creeped out and it would be hell awkward if she did catch me staring, so when I noticed she was waking up. I had to pretend I was asleep.
Even when she sneaked out, I didn’t know if she regretted what happened or not, and I didn’t want to hey it in case she actually did.
But after building up the courage to proposed a deal, it was out of lust and love. I plan on making her love me just like I do. It might be difficult, but I was willing. One last time before college, one last time to see if I have a chance with Caliriella Adams.
