Chapter 66
Sohr and Maddie were in my room right now, getting ready before the boys came to pick it up. It was finally prom, and we were all excited.
The music in my room was turned on as the three of us settled in front of the mirror, getting our faces done while singing along to the song blasting in my room. I am so happy. I know this night is going to end well.
I turned to look at the three beautiful, stunning dresses standing perfectly on a mannequin. This was a once–in–a–lifetime experience, and I knew I was going to miss this day, but 1 had nothing to worry about because we were all going to make a lot of new intinories along the way. We still had a long way to go.
After I was done with my makeup, I put my hair up in a ponytail, braiding it, making sure to bring two strands of hair to each side of my hair, and curling them.
A few minutes later, we were all dressed and ready. I looked at the girls, and they were stunning. They sure are going to get a lot of attention today: The three smiled at each other, tuming to look in the mirror, and Maddie squealed.
“Fuck girls, you sure do look sexy as hell” Maddie says. We jumped to the beat of the music while hugging ourselves
“I can’t believe we are almost done with school.” Sofie’s voice sounded croaked, like she was fighting back tears. “Damn, I’m getting emotional now,

don’t cry. If you cry, you’re going to make us cry as well, and we will end up ruining our makeup.” I said, laughing.
“I know, I am sorry” Soße replied, fanning her face with her hand. I’m just emotional, that’s all.”
“We all are.” Maddie whispered. “Okay, enough with the depressing looks. It’s prom, we should be happy..” Maddie screamed, and we joined in screaming. We started taking pictures with our phones and even made a couple of videos.
The door of my room burst open, and my mom came in. She took in our appearance, and her mouth opened wide.
“wow” She said it after a while. You girls look gorgeous. She looked impressed
I walked up to her, hugging her. “Thanks, mom“.
Thanks, Mrs. Adam, Maddie and Sofie both said at the same time, with a smile on their faces
“The boys are already here; they are waiting for you girls downstairs” My heart skipped at her words, and a rush of excitement flowed through me
I grabbed a hold of my purse and put in my make–up and phone before making my way out of my room with the girls. I was already on the hist stairs when I remembered something
“You guys, go on ahead, I need to get something in my room.” I said, racing back upstairs to my room. I walked straight to my bed, looking for the ring Hayden had gifted me on my birthday. I sighed in relief when I saw it. I put it on, checking myself in the mirror to make sure nothing was out of place before walking back downstairs.
As I made my way downstairs. I was able to spot Oliver and Sofle first. They were in each other’s embrace, lost to the world around them. I looked towards Maddie, and just like Sobe and Oliver, they stood in front of each other, with Dylan looking at her like he couldn’t get enough of her. A smile made its way to my face at how adorable they looked.
I walked down the last stairs looking for a particular green–eyed boy. I followed the noise coming from the living room and found the others sitting on the couch, watching the TV beside Asher. The sound of my heels clicking against the floor caught their attention.
That was when he turned back to look at me, and a beautiful smile graced his lips. I felt my heart beating faster than ever at how devilishly handsome he looked right now. His dark brown hair was combed backwards, perfectly in place. He was in a fomial black suit with a tie that. matched my dress
Those mesmerizing green eyes were on me, watching me with so much love and pride.
“You guys look hot.” Daniel whistled our, checking us out.

Daniel pouted, folding his arms in his chest, before making his way to my mouth to complain, and I laughed, looking at his childish behaviour.

I stepped back away from him even more when I heard heavy footsteps coming towards us. My dad came into view, his eyes widening. He walked closer to me, pulling me in for a hug
“You look beautiful, Bree” He said this, taking a step back. “I can’t believe my princess is growing up so fast,” he whispered softly.

I shake my head, moving closer to Hayden. He immediately put his arm around me, and my mom began taking our pictures. She kept taking pictures until my dad stepped in, reminding her that we needed to leave.

The rest of the crew were already waiting in front of the door, so we all made our way out of my house. When I got outside, there was a white limousine parked at the front of my house. We all got in together, seuling ourselves in the back seat of the car
Hayden brought out a bottle of wine while Dylan passed a glass cup to everyone. We all pushed through the glass to Hayden’s front while he poured out a drink for us. The music was turned on and we all sang along to the lyrics while sipping on our drinks. Daniel had his phone recording us as we had fum. It was obvious we were going to miss this moment, our last prom.
We got to school after thirty minutes. There were a lot of cars in the parking lot and students outside in prom dresses and suits. We all got down, making our way inside the school. Daniel won’t stop whistling and complimenting any girl we pass, and believe me, we did pass a lot of girls. We walked past the long hall My eyes moved to the wall, and I stopped abruptly staring at the pictures plastered on it.
If turned to look at my friends, but they didn’t seem surprised, except for Hayden. Which showed that he had nothing to do with this. I know for a fact that he couldn’t have been the boy who left me with Safe and Maddie. They both have a sheepish smile, while Sofie looked away for a brief moment, avoiding my eyes.
“Okay, we did it. Maddie finally admitted in. “It’s obvious that Hayden was going to win the Prom King crown, and what is a king without his queen?”
“Definitely not, Sophie” Safe added sassily while high–fiving Maddie.
“So. Sofie and I decided to put your name as a nominee for prom queen”
I wasn’t even mad at them; I grinned, and we both squealed before walking into the gym. The decorations were top–notch and well planned. We all gathered around first to take pictures together, and after taking tons of pictures we went different ways. My hand was clipped around Hayden, and he was taking us to the dance floor.
1 would love to dance with you, but just so you know, slow dancing isn’t my thing” I said to him, referring to the cool music bring played right down.

Hayden laughed, shaking his head. Amusement was dancing in his eyes. “I will take my chance, but only if you want to, milady” He says it in a very good British accent. bending slightly with a hand stretched above his head for me.
I sighed. No, there was no hope in arguing with him. I took a hold of his hand, bowing slightly with my dress in the other hand. “Sure, things are kind, sir” Eresponded in a very poor British accent.
Hayden laughed again, taking us to the middle of the dance floor. He placed one hand at the back of my waist: the other was locked on my hand, which was held up. I placed my other hand behind his shoulder, resting my head on his chest as we slowly moved to the beat of the song.
We danced for a few minutes, and I was surprised I didn’t step on him. I must admit, Hayden was a good dancer; he was really good at this. A few minutes into the dance, the song was changed into another slow song, but this time the spit light was on LIS.
I wanted to pull back because I didn’t like the attention directed at us. But Hayden holds my waist tightened and he sofily whispers to my face. “It’s okay, Bree; don’t think of anyone but me.”
Iremoved my face from his chest to stare into his eyes. Those beautiful green eyes were on me like always, twinkling under the light. Our eyes remained in each other’s eyes, not looking away, we were in some kind of trance, lost in each other. It felt like it was just the two of us with no one around us, and that made me smile.

We were interrupted from our moments by the sound of claps and cheers that filled the room. That was when I realized that the music had stopped playing and everyone was cheering and clapping for us. A blush crept on my face as Hayden took my hands, pulling me out of the dancer floor.
Thankfully, the mood changed back to a party mood as students gathered around them, dancing to the upbeat music played by the school Dj When we left the dance door, I dragged Hayden with me, leading him to the food court.
What! I’m starving.
There was lots of food at the table; it they were so welcoming and appetizing. I immediately started eating. Hayden ate a little beside me until he was dragged away by his teammates who were cheering on him.
