Chapter 68
“We need to go shopping today, we can’t wear old clothes for our graduation,” Maddie says to us, leaving no room for arguments while she eats a slice of pizza, resting her elbows on my kitchen counter.
“fine.” Sofie and I both said it, even though it came out in the form of a grumble.
I quickly finished up my pizza and headed back to my room. I changed into a pink sweatshirt and joggers. I put my hair up into a ponytail, then put some concealer around my eyes before applying mascara and eyeliner.
“Are you ready, Mina?“. I heard Sohe yell from the living room.
“Yeah, just let me get my bag, and off we go,” I yelled back at her, collecting my bag and phone from my room.
We spent twenty minutes in the car, screaming our lungs out to our favorite songs. The second we stepped into the mall. I didn’t know what to buy. so I just let the girls decide what to buy and not to buy.

The shop we entered was beautiful. It looked like a place out of a fairy tale. There were hundreds of dresses, from long to
Muning.
We tried out dresses upon dresses. Maddie was able to find a beautiful dress with a high slit on the side.
“What about this one?” I looked at Solle’s hands. In one, there was a beautiful red gown with a slit at the side, and in the other, there was a short off- shoulder blue gown
“I will go with the red gown, for some reason, red seems to be Hayden’s favourite colour on me. The girls had a grin on their faces at my words. probably thinking of something inappropriate. Sofie gave the blue gown back to the attendant.
was finally the day of my graduation, and I would be lying if I said I wasn’t freaking the hell out. The outside was filled with people, and I couldn’t think straight. After struggling with lots of assignments and projects, here I was, graduating. There were like five people in front of me when I wanted it to be like a hundred. I definitely do not want to fall on my way up the stage. I closed my eyes and took a breath trying to calm myself.
The rest of the guys were in the same row of seats as me, with Hayden sitting beside me. The event already started a few minutes ago, with the principal standing in front of the stage. I was part of the top ten students and the valivitoria, which meant I had to give a speech.
Hayden was also one of the top ten students, and since he was also the captain of the football team, he was asked to give a speech. The principal: started calling our names, and I waited patiently till it was my turn.
“Gabriele Adams
1 heard my name, and I took off, walking towards the stage. I smiled, looking down at my friends as they screamed and cheered louder than the rest of the students. Everyone’s clapping their hands. I was so grateful for it
“Woo–hoo, that’s my girl right there Hayden yelled, throwing compliments at me, and I blushed:
I shook hands with the principal of the school before grabbing my diploma. He congratulated me, and I thanked him. I looked at the camera and smiled. After he went back to his seat. 1 stood in front of the mic, taking a deep breath.
“Good morning, my fellow graduating students. I’m honoured to be allowed to give this speech. It has been a really tough year for us some
had it tougher than others, but the bottom line is that we were able to scale through it all”
of
“But despite every challenge and all, it had been the beat year. I made a lot of friends, made a lot of memories, and did things I never thought I would do but loved them anyway. High school has really taught me a lot of things in life, with all the years of roller coaster rides and parties we have been through and all the sadness and happiness. Here we are, still standing tall, graduating
Today might be the last time we might ever see one another, but I want you to know that this is not the end. We have a whole new world waiting for us outside there, make sure to make the best of it and enjoy it every step of the way. As for now, we celebrate this moment, so take lots of pictures and celebrate with friends and family. Don’t forget to stay safe. I said, ending my speech. There were loud cheers and claps. I walked down from the stage and back to my seat.
Hayden gave me a proud smile while the rest had their thumbs raised up, and I laughed. We settled down again as the principal made his way back
to the mic.
“That was a wonderful speech from Miss Adams The principal commented. “Now, last but not least, our very own captain and quarterback. Hayden King” The cheers were extremely loud. Hayden teammates let out a series of whistles while chanting his name in union.
I watched as he walked up the stage with a lot of confidence and dominance. He walked towards the mic, smiling down at the students in front of

“Good morning, my fellow graduating students.” He starts off and throws cheers, which increase more. Hayden had to wait till they were done before speaking again.
“High school was football to me, having a group that trusts and supports you. But as I sat down, waiting for my name to be called. We were not just teaminates, we were brothers, we were family. I’m so happy and grateful to know you all.”
“also the teachers, who had taken a little bit of their time to help us educate us and assist us. We appreciate you for all your efforts and support. Hie says this, clapping. The rest of the students joined in, clapping as well. It’s an honour to stand here before you, it’s a honour to be your captain.”
“And so to my friends, family, and loved ones, thank you for always being there for me through all the ups and downs. Thank you for being you.” He said the last part while staring at me. “Thank you. He ended his speech, getting down from the stage as cheers filled the place.
After the final speech from the principal and the throwing of caps, we were finally able to mingle with families, Maddie, Sofie, and I took tons of pictures together, then we took them with the boys, Hayden and I also took pictures together, just the two of us. Making silly faces, smiling, and staring into each other’s eyes.
I saw my parents from afar, probably looking for me. It’s best you go meet your parents while I meet mine” Hayden suggested, and I nodded. kaing him to walk over to where my parents stood.
1 hugged my mom tightly, and she laughed, rocking me from side to side. When we exited the hall, she was waiting for me along with my dad and Asher. My dad had a big bouquet of flowers, bringing tears to my eyes.
“Congratulations, princess” My dad said, parting my head with a proud look on his face, then handed me the flower
Thanks, Dad”
‘I can’t believe you’re done with high school, my baby girl is growing up so fast,” my mom said, her eyes blurry like she could cry any moment from.
BOW DIL
“Come on, mom, you aren’t going to cry now. Are you? she says, shaking her head, but 1 know she was lying I walked towards her, giving her a bone crushing hug before letting go of her.
“Congratulations, Bree, Asher spoke out from beside my dad with a wide grin on his face. I ruffled his hair and softly pinched his cheeks. Making him giggle.
Bree” I heard my name being shouted, and I turned to see Victoria waving at me. Hayden and Dominic were beside her.
The three of them started making their way towards us. Victoria and Hayden had a smile on their faces, while Dominic was blank and emotionless. When they got to us. Victoria immediately pulled me in for a hug patting my back warmly.
When we separated, she still had a smile on her face. “Congregation, dear”
Thanks, Victona.” I answered, smiling back at her.
“Oh my God! It’s nice to see the both of you. She chuckled, walking over to my parents. She and my parents began talking, and my mom pulled Hayden in for a hug while my dad asked for his hand, congratulating him.
know what to do. I was taught what to say.
They continue to talk amongst themselves, leaving him alone with Dominic. It was awkward, and I didn’t kn but before I could break the silence, Dominic spoke first
“I saw your speech; you did well. Congratulations. His was cold, but I heard a hire of respect which made me surprised.
1 smiled at him. “Thank you”
He nods before going to talk to my dad. Hayden walked over to me, staring at my shocked face. “What happened! What did my dad say?” He asked. worriedly.
“I think your dad kind of complimented me. I whispered, loud enough for him to hear.
Hayden grin. He has no reason not to accept you Dylan and Daniel’s dads were able to help me out, so I don’t need to date Sophie” Hayden explained, and I felt relieved.
We all gathered around, taking a variety of pictures with our families, and I felt really happy. Dominic wanted to treat us out for lunch, so he took us out to have lunch at a very fancy and expensive restaurant to celebrate our graduations
When we stepped in, the hostess was already leading us to a table in the left corner, giving us a perfect view. We got sited and ordered our drinks first and then food. We all ordered so many varieties of food, and with today’s occasion, you could say I was beyond saving.
When our food was brought, we all started eating “So, Bree. I heard you will be going to college soon” Aunt Amelia, asked
the semester will start early this year, I need to be there a month before the semester starts. I replied.

Chapter 65
“That s wonderful but Hayden School an hour away from Bree’s?” My mom asked, and Hayiden nodded in response
Tthank will be okay if they rent an apartment together. That is, if it’s okay with the two of you, we don’t want to push you into something you
“About that. Haysden and I already talked about how we decided to live separately for just the first semester before deciding if we wanted to rent an apartment together. We don’t want to rush into anything yet… I explained
“That’s a
a wise decision,” my dad said. “Relationships sometimes need a little bit of space to have perfect clarity and judgment.”
Lunch went smoothly, and it was a blast. We talked about a lot of things, laughing and telling each other funny stories.
