Chapter 6
“Hey there, sweetheart! Where you headed? How about a ride with us? The biker leader leered at Vanina, his eyes raking over her. His buddies joined in with whistles and crude calls.
Yanina ignored them, her grip tightening on her box.
“Playing hard to get, huh? I like that. But let’s see how icy you stay in my bed,” he sneered, swinging off his motorcycle and reaching for her chin.
Yanina jerked her head back, stepping out of reach. Td suggest you boys show some respect and not look for trouble,” she warned. her eyes narrowing.
“Haha, she’s got some fire! Mr. Ford, go for it, the thugs egged on, trying to bolster the man’s courage.
The guy from the Ford family sneered, his eyes glinting dangerously as he pulled a knife. “Listen, lady, just come along quietly, or that pretty face might get messed up, he threatened, drawing more laughter from the gang-
“Oh really? Why don’t you wait a moment…. Yanina replied with a cold smile, her voice dropping lower, her gaze turning iry
“Wow, she’s got some guts. Looks like you got lucky tonight, Mr. Ford,” they jeered, thinking she was scared and about to cave, whistling and congratulating him. He smirked, his eyes greedy as he moved in on Yanina…
As she carefully placed the box with the “Heritage Rose‘ tea Set down, Yanina rolled up her sleeves. The man was just half a meter away when suddenly, a shadow loomed over him.
A loud slap echoed, the sound ringing out. Yanina had slapped Mr. Ford hard across the face, putting all her strength into it. “P” Ford spat our bloody saliva, tasting the metallic flavor. “You bitch…” he started to lunge, but before he could, Yanina’s sharp heel struck a vulnerable spot!
Ford howled in pain and crumpled “You witch! You think you can take me on? Get her!” he barked. His gang moved in on
Yanina without hesitation.
Yanina stood her ground, her gaze steady on the thugs. In the dim light, the crimson mole by her eye seemed to gleam.
The thunderous growl of a motorcycle cut through the air. A black bike roared up and skidded to a stop nearby. The rider, clad in gear and helmet, dismounted and called out, “Well, well, a bunch of tough guys against one girl. That’s real brave.”
Ford clutched his groin, sweat beading on his forehead. He forced himself up, wincing, and shot the newcomer a glare. “Mind your own business,” he snapped. “This ain’t your light.”
The man pulled off his helmet, revealing a strikingly handsome face, his tanned skin catching the moonlight. Yanina glanced over, and their eyes met. He was momentarily captivated by her stunning beauty, taken aback.
“Didn’t you hear him Beat it! The thugs glared at the newcomer, fists raised, ready to attack.
The man snapped back to reality, facing the closest thug with cabut confidence. He swung the helmet he was holding, smashing it against the thug’s fist with a loud “thud.” The thug grimaced in pain.
Seeing this, the other thugs gritted their teeth and charged at hum together. But they were no match for him. He easily dodged their attacks, and none of them even managed to graze his clothes. He countered with his helmet, striking them one by unt
In just a few minutes, several thugs lay on the ground, nursing their bruises and crying out in pain. Euzhuo realized he couldn’t win. Glaring at the man, he spat, “We’ll see about this? Then he and his gang hopped on their motorcycles and sped off, humiliated.

“Thanks,” Yanina sighed in relief, giving the man a polite nod. Under the moonlight, his bright smile revealed a charming dimple. She couldn’t help but think he was really handsome.
“Need lift?” he offered, patting the back seat of his motorcycle.
Yanina checked her phone. “No thanks, my ride’s on the way.”
He nodded, not pushing the issue. Leaning in slightly, he whispered with a smile, “Next time, maybe don’t dress like that while waiting for a ride. Even I might find it hard to resist. We’ll meet again.”
Yanina watched him go, thinking he looked familiar but couldn’t quite place him. He laughed warmly, put on his helmet, and rode away.
At the Zamora residence. Sherry walked in and spotted Cameron. She had to vent. “Cameron, can’t you handle Yanina? Do you know what she did today? She embarrassed the whole Zamora family!”
“What happened? Cameron asked, surprised.
Sherry shouted, “I took her to an auction, and she scored a ‘Heritage Rose‘ Tea Set. With your grandpa’s birthday coming up, I thought it would be perfect for him. So, I offered her 3 million for it. But guess what? Yanina refused and even gave me a dirty look!”
“Your grandpa has always doted on her, even giving her shares in the Everbright Group to protect her. Now, with his birthday here, she can’t even part with a set of porcelain? Honestly, the Zamora family raised a thankless child!” Sherry fumed, memories of Yanina’s indifferent face fueling her anger.
Cameron listened in silence, finally letting out a soft sigh. “Mom, don’t worry about my grandpa’s gift. I’ve already taken care of it. I’ll talk to Yanina about today!
Sherry wanted to say more but noticed the fatigue on her son’s face. Sighing, she relented. “Yanina should know how to be a good wife to the Zamora family. She hasn’t even been looking after you properly, judging by how tired you look. Make sure she prepares some nourishing soup for you tomorrow to help you recover.”
Cameron responded with a soft “hmm,” as memories of his marriage with Yanina surfaced. She used to shop for fresh groceries every day, cooking meals and making delicious soups for him. After the divorce, the house felt lonely, as if something vital was missing. He found himself missing Yanina. No matter how late he worked, she always left a warm light on for him when he got home.
“Oh, and today Yanina acted all distant, calling me Mrs. Zamora. She clearly doesn’t understand propriety! I’ve always said that a girl from such a humble background shouldn’t have been allowed in the Zamora household!”
