Chapter 108
Carl strongly opposed it but couldn’t change Adrian’s mind and forced him to leave the model.
He announced that if Adrian dared to divorce and remarry, he would cut ties with him.
But he still chose what he called love, abandoning his wife and daughter and not returning for five years.
Carl felt guilty toward Adrian’s first wife and treated her like his daughter.
He even transferred all the businesses in Eleymore to her and her daughter.
Hearing his words, Yanina couldn’t refuse. Grandpa, you have to ask Mr. Miller to help me then.
“There are many things I don’t understand, and I’ll need his guidance.”
“You lazy girl. I’m assigning work to you, but you’re trying to take my most capable helper away? Carl chuckled.
Yanina knew Carl was teasing her and cutely clung to his arm. ‘Grandpa. I haven’t done it. Please.
“And tell me, what kind of birthday party do you like?”
Carl squinted and was silent for a while. With a wry smile, he replied, “Yani, I don’t have any desires at this age and don’t know what kind of birthday I want.
But I always remember my childhood birthdays. My mom coaxed my siblings to leave and made a bowl of pasta with an egg just for me… It was the most delicious thing I ever tasted.
“Now life has gotten better, and so has the food. But that taste and feeling back then, I just can’t find anymore.
Keeping his words in mind, Yanina decided to help him find that nostalgic taste.
“Grandpa, I’m sure you’ll be satisfied with the party, Yanina said confidently.
Carl laughed. “Good. If you have any questions, ask John.
“Relax. I’ve got your back. No one will dare to criticize the party you’re organizing”
Yanina smiled warmly. Carl reminded her of her grandpa.
She was thankful. Over the years, Carl’s love for her was just like that of her p
Cameron watched them chat happily as if Yanina were Carl’s granddaughter.
“Grandpa, should we head straight to Barcombe?” Cameron asked.
grandpa.
“Yes Tell those guys not to take girls‘ pouches carelessly Carl teased. Everyone laughed.
Yanina said, “Grandpa, when we get there, I want to go up the mountain to gather some herbs. They can only be found around there
Remember my good friend Yetta? She had to get over thirty stitches with her face scratched.
“Yet there are still scars on her face, so I want to gather some herbs to heal them.”
Carl’s expression softened a bit.
Cameron cleared his throat. I’ll go with her, don’t worry.”

Carl noted. “Alright, be careful. Barcombe isn’t like the city, many places have no signal.
“Cameron, take the satellite phone with you. Then you can contact us in case of emergency”
“Rest assured. I’ll make sure Yanina is back safe and sound, Cameron promised.
A smile spread across Carl’s face. “Great. John, prepare e some medicine and snakebite serum for them. There are a lot of stakes in the mountains. Be careful
The car arrived in Barcombe at around 2 p..
People there knew Carl was coming: they had gathered at the entrance with flowers to welcome him.
At the sight of them, an elder sang with homemade brew
Chuck didn’t say anything, but Daniel asked, “Isn’t it a tourist area?”

Gavin snorted. “Have y
This is where Mr. Carl Zamora worked when he was young
“After he became successful, he built bridges, roads, schools, and hospitals here. That’s why they’re giving us such a warm welcome.”
Then Gavin stepped forward, took a drink offered a young woman, and drank it all at once.
Turning back, he warned Daniel. “Stop randomly receiving things from girls. If you do it again, we can’t help you.”
“Stop mentioning it” Daniel pretended to kick him. They squabbled as they went into the village.
Carl vaguely remembered some of the older people who were gathering for a meal and chatting.
Yanina and Cameron were asked to have their meal under the shade.
A few lovely local girls, dressed in their best clothes, sang drinking songs while serving drinks to everyone.
The drinks weren’t strong, and they accepted them happily. Before long, there were about five or six empty bottles.
Cathy said drowsily, “Yani, they’re so welcoming.
Tm tipsy, I can’t drink anymore.”
Seeing her dazed expression, Yanina supported her. “You’re drunk. I’ll take you back to your room.”
Gavin wanted to accompany Cathy to leave.
But Cameron grabbed him. “Let’s drink,”
Cameron thought, I haven’t even won over Yanina. Want to stay with your girlfriend?

Yanina slowly helped Cathy into the room
After Cathy lay down, Yanina walked over to sit by the window, watching them drink.

Yanina burst out laughing. Lying on the ground, he looked at her and saw a radiant and pretty face. Forgetting to get up, he laughed too.
The girl and others hurried to help him up.
Seeing the pouch in his hand, he quickly grabbed the girl to give it back. “I’m married. Sorry, sorry.”
The girl. puzzled, smiled as she took it back, saying a few words before leaving.
Yanina shook her head slightly, guessing that when they went back, they might come down with something called “pouch. phobia.”
But Cameron misunderstood; it was just a regular pouch prepared for him because he was Carl’s grandson.
He stood up, wanting to see Yanina again, but she left.
“Yani, come down and have some drinks!” Gavin, spurred by the alcohol, shouted.
Daniel glanced at the window, then at Cameron, gulping down another drink. He nudged Chuck who said nothing all along. “See? Tell your younger sister to give up on Cameron when you get back.”
