Chapter 55
The man on the bed wasn’t breathing. The other person was actually just a wrapped–up blanket.
Yanina wasn’t there!
Cameron was shocked and relieved. He couldn’t help but laugh looking at the open window.
He thought, “Yanina is clever.
She wrapped a blanket and put it in the arms of the dead man. Then she turned off the lights. So, people outside the room would think a man was on the bed, holding a woman.
So, even if someone pecked through the crack between the door and its frame, he wouldn’t find anything weird.
By the time they figured it out, Yanina would be long gone.
Cameron smiled, “Zak, leave someone to handle the rest here. Let’s go back.”
Zak asked, “Should we let Shawn know about this?”
Cameron recalled how determined Shawn was when he tried to sit next to Yanina and firmly shook his head.
He was so terrified that he was late
Shawn didn’t feel as terrified as him, Cameron would think he lost.
Let Shawn keep looking for Yanina a bit longer would make Cameron feel satisfied.
At the same time, after escaping from the mansion, Yanina dashed through the forest and walked to the crossroad.
She went to the left road, picked up the diamond earring that she had dropped, and held it tightly in her hand. This earring was a birthday gift from Cameron the first year she joined the Cameron family.
Although Cameron gave her many gifts in the next few years, she always wore this pair of earrings.
Clapping to flick the dust off her hands, Yanina waited for a while and then hailed a taxi to return to the town.
She thought it was time to get even with someone!
Yanina didn’t go back to the hotel directly. Instead, she went to the castle where they filmed the outdoor scenes. She took out Kane’s phone and sent Blanca a message in Borealian.
[Go to the castle! Second floor.]
Then she went to the dressing room, did some make–up, and then closed her eyes to have some rest.
A few minutes later, Yanina heard some noise coming from outside. She slowly opened her eyes and walked out.
A terrifying female voice echoed through the castle. “Give me back my life!”
Callic turned around but saw nothing.
“Give me back my life!”
Yanina was wearing a white dress with a pale face. Her strikingly red lips stood out.
Chapter 55
Yanina suddenly appeared at the corner of the stairs. Callie was shocked.
Yanina shouted, “Callie! Give me my life back!”
Callie screamed “Ah!!!”
Callie turned around and desperately ran downstairs, scared and anxious. Suddenly, she sprained her left ankle and lost her balance, rolling down the stone steps.
Callie shouted, “Leave me alone! I didn’t ask them to kill you!
It wasn’t me! It wasn’t me!
Callie climbed out of the castle, ignoring the pain in her foot.
Yanina stood still on the second floor, smirking at Callie’s back. She thought, ‘As expected, it is definitely her!
‘Does she really think with Cameron’s protection she can do whatever she wants?
Yanina smiled as she found a number noted as “the Boss” on Kane’s phone and sent a text to this number.
[We were fooled by Blanca. It’s her planl
Yanina watched as the text was successfully sent. With a graceful arc, Kane’s phone fell into the lake next to the castle. Yanina thought, ‘Since Callie wants to hire someone to kill me. I’ll let her know how it f
feels!
When Yanina returned to the hotel, Cameron was sitting in the center of the lobby, surrounded by his bodyguards, Cameron shouted, “Yani!”
He quickly strode to Yanina and hugged her. The joy of regaining what was lost lit up his eyes.
Yanina said, “Let go of me. You’re strangling me.”
Yanina was held so tightly by Cameron that she could hardly breathe.
Cameron loosened his grip on Yanina slightly but didn’t let go of her.
He was scared that if he released her, she would slip away.
Yanina asked, “Did you see the thing that I left behind?”
Cameron said, taking out an earring from his pocket, “Of course
Yanina looked at the earring, lost in thought for a brief moment
Cameron hugged her more tightly and whispered softly, Tm so happy that you’re okay, honey
Hearing him call her “honey,” Yanina immediately started to struggle.
She said, “Cameron, don’t forget that I’m your ex–wifer
Cameron said. “Art ex–wife is still a wife! Yanina, I thought I had lost you forever. For the first time, I was scared. I can’t imagine a life without you
Yanina was somewhat bewildered. She wondered when he suddenly changed so much.
They were married for a year. He had never said things like this before.

Chapter 55
She thought, “Am I daydrearning!
Suddenly, a loud voice came from outside the hotel. “Cameron! What are you doing?”
Callie limped into the hotel only to see Cameron hugging another woman.
Hearing her voice, Yanina sneered and looked up at Callie.
Callie finally saw the face of the woman in Cameron’s arms.
She thought, “Yanina! Isn’t she supposed to be dead?”
Callie screamed, “Ah!”
Her scream echoed through the lobby. Callie fell to the ground, climbing backward and pointing at Yanina. She turned pale.
She screamed, “Ghost! It’s a ghost!”
Only then did Cameron notice what Yanina was wearing.
Yanina was wearing a long white dress that reached her feet. Her hair was messy but her lips were strikingly red.
She looked like a ghost from a horror movie.
Yanina approached Callie with a mild smile. She looked down at Callie.
Yanina said. “Ms. Stark, why do you think I am a ghost? Do you think I must be dead after I went missing?
“But what a pity! I didn’t die. Are you disappointed, Ms. Stark?”
Callie thought, Yanina is not dead! What happened?
Distraught, Callie managed to stand up but lost her balance again. She fell toward Cameron.
However, Cameron didn’t catch her as she expected. He stepped aside and then Callie fell on the pillar behind him.
Cameron asked, baffled, “Yanina, why are you dressed like that?
Yanina glanced at Cameron and then turned to Callie.
She explained, “I pretended to be a ghost to scare someone because sometimes you need to spook people to see their true colors.”
Cameron frowned and looked at Callie.
The moment Callie first saw Yanina, she shouted that Yanina was a ghost.
It seemed that Callie was sure that Yanina was dead
“Yanina, stop smearing me. Callie quickly calmed down and said. “I understand that you’re angry because ever since I was back, Cameron’s been focused on me, ignoring you.
“But I warned you not to divorce Cameron.
“You didn’t listen to me and insisted on divorcing him!
“Now you regret it and want to be back with Car
Cameron. But it’s too late. I’m with him now.
“You can’t smear me because you want to get back to Cameron
