Chapter 64
Yanina was taken aback for a moment, then gave a wry laugh at herself. One is his biological sister, the other is his ex–wife. Of course. Cameron would definitely side with Christina, wouldn’t he?‘ she thought. “It makes sense, Cameron is back, and as the Zamora family is so powerful, it’s no surprise she was released.”
“I just can’t swallow this! How can she pour boiling water on someone and walk away as if nothing happened? Shawn got hurt for nothing!” Yetta snorted coldly.
Yanina didn’t think so. Agreeing to bail could only mean that Shawn had dropped the charges. Yanina recalled Shawn’s hurried departure that day. He said something had happened at home, but she wasn’t sure what exactly had occurred. But it was likely connected to this incident. Tm free tonight. I want to visit Yosef to thank him for stepping in to clarify the photo scandal
“Do you know where the Watson family lives?” Yanina asked Yetta
Yetta shook her head, her eyes shifting slightly. “Tll go find someone to check.”
Yanina shot her a glance. ‘She’s going to find someone? Who could that be? It must be Zak, she thought.
After Zak gave Yetta the Watson family’s address, he pulled out his phone and sent a message to Cameron: [Mrs. Zamora is going to the Watsons‘ today, are we going?]
your
Cameron wanted to go, but the thought of Yanina’s words felt like a knife in his heart. He work? Did you settle the hospital land? Have you cleaned up the unfinished project in SouthHaven Apartments? Have you
led Zak. Have you finished found out who’s behind things in Mandora?”
Zak remained silent. He couldn’t figure out what his boss was thinking now. But one thing was clear: Cameron was in a bad mood. “I’ll get right on it.. he replied quickly.
In the early evening. Yanina and Yetta arrived at the Watson residence with gifts. Yosef wasn’t home, but Zoe warmly welcomed the two of them. Jasmine sat obediently on the couch smiling sweetly at Yanina. “Yani, you’re so pretty!”
“You’re very pretty too!” Yanina said as she handed the gift to Zoe, “I came today specifically to thank Mr. Watson for his assistance. It’s easy to add to someone’s success, but hard to offer help in times of need.”
“Mr. Watson extended his hand when I needed it most. I’m truly grateful, she added.
Zoe looked lovingly at her daughter. “Jess has always been well–behaved and sensible, but this asthma has tormented her for so long. Even though the sun is shining brightly outside, she can run and play like other children her age.”
“If you hadn’t beep in that restroom that day, who knows what might have happened!” Zoe continued. “If you ever need help, we’ll never turn a blind eye.
“Rest assured, from now on, we’ll be your support!
“Just call me Zoe, I’ll treat you like my sister, Zoe said, taking Yanina’s hand sincerely. Yanina could feel Zoe’s genuine affection and didn’t hesitate before calling, “Zoe
“Jess, from now on, she is your Auntie!” Zoe smiled at her daughter.
“Hi, Auntiel Jess’s sweet voice melted Yanina’s heart
“Come over here,” Yanina said, picking up the stethoscope and listening to Jasmine’s chest, her brow furrowing slightly.
Zoe hadn’t expected that Yanina knew how to use a stethoscope, and instinctively closed her mouth, not daring to interrupt.
After a while. Yanina spoke. “It’s allergic asthma, mainly because her lung is too weak. It seems to be a congenital deficiency.”

“When I was young. I heard my grandfather give a remedy to a friend’s child to treat this type of asthma. I still remember the recipe. Zoe, would you like to try it?”
Zoe hesitated for a moment. She had consulted countless doctors to cure Jasmine’s asthma, but they all recommended. observation and treatment without offering any practical solutions. Since Yanina had a folk remedy, it wouldn’t hurt to try. After all, she knew Yanina wouldn’t harm Jasmine. I trust you. Let’s try it. If it can cure Jess, I… Zoe paused, almost saying she was willing to give Yanina half of the Watson family’s assers
“Zoel” Yanina interrupted. “Since you take me as Jess’s aunt, I’ll treat her like my own niece.”
“Yes!” Zoe’s eyes were already brimming with tears. If earlier she had spoken about treating Yanina like her sister out of politeness, now that barrier had been completely broken, and she truly saw her as family.
Just as the two were speaking, a strong voice echoed from outside. “I’m back!” Yosef strode in with large steps. “Ms. Fulbright, I didn’t know was coming today, so I’m a bit late.” Despite his busy schedule, Yosef made time to see Yanina, a clear sign of his sincerity,
“Sorry to bother you. I came today to express my thanks.” Yanina said with a smile.
“We should be the ones thanking you. I just reserved a spot at SereneBay for a family dinner. Would you honor us with your presence?” Yosef invited.
Yanina chuckled. “I can’t stay for dinner. I need to visit an elder later.”
Yosef didn’t push further. Instead, he pulled a document from his briefcase. “Ms. Fulbright, here’s a 50% share of SailWind
Hotel
“The Harnett family was determined to get this piece of land, but after what happened with Jess, they backed off. I took the opportunity to secure the land and built SailWind Hotel..
“As thanks for saving Jess, I insist you take these shares.”
Upon hearing this, Yanina quickly waved her hand. “Mr. Watson, I’m already deeply grateful for your help during my time of need. I can’t accept these shares.
“Besides, Jess has already accepted me as her aunt. From now on, we’re family.
Yosef nodded, no longer insisting. When emotions between people transcend material value, that’s when a true partnership is formed. He greatly admired Yanina’s approach and fully embraced this shared community of interests.
Yanina took out a pen and paper, writing down a prescription and handing it to Zoe. Zoe, since Jess is still young, I’ve reduced the dosage. I’ll check on her again in seven days.”
Zoe readily agreed
Jess quickly ran over and hugged Yanina’s arm. “Auntie, I’ll be waiting for you.”
Yanina agreed with a smile.
After Yanina left the Watson residence, Zoe told Yosef about the prescription Yanina had given her. Yosef nodded.
“It seems we need to push things forward. We can’t let our own family suffer a loss!” Zoe nodded in agreement.
Yetta glanced at the time, then looked back. “Yani, are you sure you can return to the Zamora residence alone?”
“Don’t worry!” Yanina nodded confidently.
“Alright then, drive safely, Yetta said.

“Let me guess, you ran out of pocket money and came to ask Grandpa for more?”
