Chapter 79
Yanina didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. She sent a message with a sign. Alright.]
But she felt a bit awkward. It would be so much easier just to chat on WhatsApp, but every time she thought of Cameron’s bossy expression and cold tone, she just didn’t want to add him
Saturday came quickly.
Yanina helped Yetta with her discharge from the hospital, and they went shopping together to choose outfits for the evening’s class reunion.
As soon as Yanina and Yetta walked into a boutique, they bumped into Tamara and Steven. The way they acted was so close that they seemed just like a couple.
When they ran into Yanina and Yetta, Steven’s face showed a moment of panic before he quickly calmed down.
Tamara lifted her chin high, displaying an arrogant expression.
After a moment of shock, Yanina quickly returned to her usual expression. She knew exactly what kind of person Steven was from her time watching the painting at the Zamora’s home. He was sneaky, devious, and dishonest. Cheating was just second nature to him
But Yanina wasn’t in the mood to interfere, so she turned and continued shopping for gifts with Yetta.
Yetta had just picked up a dress when Tamara grabbed it away. “Sorry, Ms. Clark, I’ve already bought this,” Tamara said.
“What are you doing?” Yetta raised an eyebrow and glanced at Tamara
Just buying clothes!” Tamara sneered.
Yanina smiled and linked her arm with Yetta’s, gently squeezing it to signal her not to worry.
Yetta understood the hint. With a silent understanding, the two continued to browse for clothes, arms linked.
Just as Yanina had anticipated, no matter what they picked up. Tamara would always be one step ahead, saying she would buy it.
They didn’t hold back, picking up all the outdated outfits from the store. Tamara soon had her hands full of the old- fashioned dresses.
Yanina and Yetta shared a glance and burst into laughter.
“No brains, just curves!” Yetta muttered under her breath, glancing at Tamara’s chest, which was noticeably larger than the
others.
“Don’t say that. Thanks to Ms. Harnett, this store’s unsold clothes were finally sold. Look, even the store clerks can’t stop grinning!” Yanina said, giving the store clerk a playful wink.
“Let’s go, Yetta. Let’s check out some other shops. Ms. Harnett, are you planning to keep following us and snatching clothes? You’re more than welcome! But I wonder if you have enough money to shop in the next boutique, Yanina said, linking arms with Yetta and turning to leave.
“Are you playing tricks on ane?” Tamara realized belatedly, pointing at Yetta and Yanina with a red face.
Yetta thought of how Tamara’s had grabbed clothes and felt extremely satisfied seeing her embarrassed and angry now.
Yetta rolled her eyes at Tamara and said with a sneer, “Yes, and so what? You did it yourself. Why are you blaming me?”

The store clerk stood nervously at the side, holding the receipt and the card Tamara had just used to pay, worried she would return the clothes.
“Ms. Harnett is a considerate daughter. She surely won’t return the clothes.” Yanina gave a sharp comment on the side. “Besides, she has such a handsome boyfriend!” Yanina glanced at Steven with clear sarcasm in her eyes.
Steven frowned. Yanina was hinting that all the girlfriends he found were brainless.
“Steven, they’re bullying me!” Tamara clung to Steven’s arm, glaring at Yanina
Steven glanced at Tamara and then at Yanina, “Ms. Fulbright, can we talk in private?”
Yanina nodded. She was curious about what this jerk wanted to say. They walked off to the side.
“What do you
u want to say?” Yanina asked.
“You did that to Christina, right?” Steven asked cautiously.
Yanina stayed silent. But from her eyes and expression, Steven knew it must be her.
“I’m not going to beat around the bush. I came to ask you not to reveal what happened today,” Steven said directly.
Yanina raised an eyebrow, wondering. What did he mean? The fact that he and Tamara are secretly dating behind Christina’s back?
“Whoever you date, it’s none of my business. If there’s nothing else, I’m leaving,” Yanina said. With that, Yanina grabbed Yetta and walked to the next store.
“What did you say to her?” Tamara asked coquettishly.
“I told her not to bully you again. You’re the darling of the Harnett family, and if she crosses you, it won’t be good for her.”
Steven’s words made Tamara giggle non–stop as his hand slipped around her slim waist, giving it a firm squeeze. He leaned in and whispered softly, “Let’s grab the clothes and hurry home, I can’t wait any longer.”
Tamara laughed so hard that she could barely stand, forgetting her earlier annoyance. She signaled the sales clerk to take their things and left with Steven.
Meanwhile, Yetta and Yanina were in high spirits too.
“Tamara always shows off her ties to Mr. Yates, acting all high and mighty at the office. It is so satisfying to take her down a peg today! But her boyfriend doesn’t seem like a good guy either. His eyes were darting all over the place. It totally fits the saying. ‘Birds of a feather flock together. Yetta squinted, giggling
Yanina joined in the laughter. They chatted and laughed as they walked into another boutique.
“How about this one?” Yetta picked up an avocado green dress with a slim waist and a big skirt. It was perfect for her.
Yaniria also chose her outfit for the evening, a cream–colored long dress.
The class reunion was scheduled at Moonrise Restaurant, a renowned fancy restaurant in Yvale.
When Yanina first heard about the reunion being held there, she was puzzled for a while. The average cost per person here was around 1,700 dollars. Not everyone could easily take out 1,700 dollars.
Yetta casually said they could cover the meal costs. Yanina was making millions from endorsement deals, so money was no issue for her. What was important was that they gathered together.
The two of them took a cab to Moonrise Restaurant, and as soon as they arrived, an old classmate was at the entrance to

welcome them
“Yanina! Yetta! It’s been ages! Wait, now I should call you CrimsonSnow!” The person greeting them was Byron Kramer, their college class committee leader. He was currently the general manager at a company in Yvale.
“Good evening. Byron. Yetta quickly greeted him. “Has Royce arrived yet?”
“He said he’d arrive in ten minutes. Why don’t you go in first? We’re in room 9.
It was a private dining room at the restaurant.
Yanina and Yetta walked into the private room, where more than a dozen people had already gathered, chatting in small groups. The two of them greeted everyone and took their seats.
Just then, Byron walked in and spoke to his old classmates. “It’s been a long time, everyone. I know this restaurant is quite expensive, and some of you might be worried. But I just got the news. Someone is treating us tonight. Order whatever you like. Don’t save money for the big spender
The classmates present all beamed at the news.
“Who is it? So generous!” Yetta asked curiously.
There were over 20 people at the reunion party. With costs of 1,700 dollars each, the dinner bill would be over 30 thousand dollars.
Byron shook his head. The front desk manager just told me. I have no idea who’s so rich.”
Before long, Royce walked in, and everyone gathered around him, Yanina among them. If not for Royce, she probably wouldn’t have attended this reunion.
“Long time no see! Give me a hug, Royce said.
“Cut it out!” Yanina slapped Royce on the shoulder.
“I’m here today all thanks to you!” Royce smiled at Yanina and said, “Someone bought me round–trip tickets and booked a five–star hotel room just to treat you to dinner, saying you’d only come if I showed up.”
Who’s that? So mysterious!” Yetta complained, hating people who liked to deliberately mystify and show off.
Yanina felt uneasy, thinking, “What does that guy want? He brought Royce here just to treat me to dinner.
As she pondered, a light laugh came from behind. “Yanina, I heard you were someone’s mistress. Is that true?”
