Chapter 92
Zak paused for a moment and said seriously, “He’s Ms. Stark’s uncle.”
Cameron’s brow furrowed deeply. Callie’s uncle? The one who is responsible for selling her to Borealis?‘
He hadn’t expected there to still be a connection between them, and even less that Callie would have her uncle carry out such violent acts.
“Gather the evidence. Bring it all to the sanatorium,” Cameron said as he hung up the phone and turned to Yanina. “Yani. I’ve got something to handle. You go back with Zoe. I’ll pick you up later.”
“No need for you to pick me up.” Yanina said with her usual resolve.
Just then, Yosef and Zoe emerged from the event hall.
Cameron personally watched as Yanina got into the car. Just as he was about to leave, Sophie suddenly grabbed his arm from behind, as if she’d been waiting for him for some time.
“Mr. Zamora, let’s have a chat, Sophie said with a smile.
Cameron instinctively frowned, but thankfully, Yanina had already driven away. Otherwise, this could’ve led to some serious misunderstandings.
“I’m not interested in talking to you,” Cameron said bluntly, and without hesitation, he began to walk away.
Watching his retreating figure, Sophie smirked. Quite interesting What’s the fun in getting a man who’s too easy to catch?
“Cameron, I’ll make you fall in love with me!” Sophie called out loudly.
But Cameron didn’t even pause. He quickly left Drakonia House and drove straight to the sanatorium where Callie was staying.
It seemed Callie knew Cameron was coming. She had done her makeup beautifully and wore a soft cream–colored dress, giving off an air of innocence and sweetness.
“Cam, you’re finally here. You sent me back to Yvale over a week ago and haven’t visited once. Does that mean you’ve fallen for me?” Callie smiled, completely unaware of the storm brewing
Cameron’s expression darkened. He couldn’t fathom how this seemingly kind and innocent woman could be so cold and
ruthless.
She was ruthless enough to orchestrate Yanina’s kidnapping and pay thugs to destroy Yetta’s reputation.
This wasn’t the Callie he once knew.
She had become something far more dangerous.
“I never liked you. I brought you back from Borealis because I received your plea for help. You saved my life, so naturally. I owed you one. But beyond that, there’s nothing between us.” Cameron’s voice was icy.
-Calbe burst into laughter. Missing two front teeth, she looked almost comical. “Cam, do you know who knocked my teeth
out?”
“I know,” Cameron replied coldly.
His cool tone hit Callie like a punch to the chest.
defeat.
Chapter 92
She knew Yanina’s actions had not escaped Cameron’s watchful eyes.
Yet Cameron had allowed Yanina to do it.
From that moment, Callie realized she had lost, but she wasn’t ready to accept
She wasn’t sure if she loved Cameron.
But she knew one thing, Cameron was the re
rope
e that could pull her out of the darkness.

Without that rope, she would be left at the very bottom of this city.
She had sacrificed her education for Borealis
Without a diploma, she couldn’t even get a decent job, let alone continue the lavish lifestyle she craved.
Today was her last chance to win Cameron back.
Her smile vanished as she spoke coldly, “Cam. Yanina is vicious. She knocked out my two front teeth and threatened to kill. me if I crossed her again. You haven’t seen her true face, have you? In front of you, she plays the sweet and innocent girl, but that’s just a mask. Beneath it, she’s a monster, one who’ll chew you up and spit out your bones. You won’t ever be happy with
her.
Cameron heard her words, and as he imagined Yanina looking fierce, no matter how hard he tried, she still appeared adorable and kind in his mind.
He just couldn’t picture her as cruel.
“I don’t think pulling out your teeth was wrong. If it were me, and someone hurt my friends, I’d have taken their life. Cameron said coldly,
Callie hadn’t expected Cameron to defend Yanina so fiercely. She bit her lip in frustration. “Cam, do you have any idea what I went through in Borcalis? My uncle tricked me into going there. They drugged me and forced me into doing horrible things.
Tears welled up in Callie’s eyes, her shoulders shaking, her frail figure looking pitiful. In the past, Cameron would’ve embraced her, gently offering comfort.
But today, he stood there unmoved.
Instead, he reached into his briefcase and pulled out a stack of photos, placing them in front of her.
“Your uncle confessed everything. You went to Borealis to be the mistress of the wealthiest man there. He had certain… peculiar tastes, which is why your body is covered in scars. But to rise above his dozen other mistresses and end up marrying him? That’s quite the achievement. Cameron’s voice was steady, devoid of any emotion
Callie trembled violently.
Cameron had dug up every last one of her secrets,
She knew he’d never believe her again.
Still, she had to try.
“Cam, are you seriously believing my uncle’s lies? He’s a scumbag. He’ll say anything for money, do anything for it. How do you know Yanina didn’t pay him off to smear me? If I really married some billionaire, why would I have begged you to save me? Why would I have come back here?” she pleaded, desperation creeping into her voice.
Cameron, as if anticipating her excuses, sighed in disappointment and shook his head.

Chapter 92
Callie had drained away whatever bond they once had.
Classmates, friends, and any remnants of affection vanished when she tried to slander Vanina. There was nothing left.
You begged me for help because the billionaire died. You inherited part of his fortune, but that put you at odds with his children, who want to take what’s yours and kill you if they have to. That’s why you reached out to me, to bring you back to Zepyria. And when you fled Borealis, didn’t you take something with you? There’s been talk on the black market, people are looking for you,” Cameron said, his voice icy.
She hadn’t expected those from Borealis to track her down so soon, and now panic was written all over her face. “If I fall into their hands, my life will truly be in danger! she wondered.
Seeing her reaction, Cameron’s lips–parted, his tone still as emotionless as ever. “When you returned, I had the doctors anesthetize you and run a full–body scan. You’re in perfect health. You can’t stay here any longer. I’ve bought you a house in Wavecrest. Consider it the last favor I’ll ever do for you, to help you stay out of the Borealis crowd’s reach. From now on, all debts between us are settled. I owe you nothing.”
Cameron stood up, ready to leave.
Desperate. Callie rushed forward a few steps and hugged him from behind. “I was wrong to lie to you. It’s my fault. I just wanted you to care about me more. I’ve lost so much already… please don’t make me lose you too
Cameron brushed off her hands, pushing her away with no kindness left in his heart. “You never had me, Callie. So how could you lose me?”
