Love Sunken in the Deep Sea
Chapter 1
It was a car wreck that did it.
My family, my childhood sweetheart…all of
them lost their memories.
Every single memory of me, gone.
Except they remembered Susie May, the girl
we took in.
My brother, who used to give me the world,
smashed a birthday cake in my face at my
party.
He ordered the security guards to rip my
dress off.
My parents, who treated me like I hung the
moon, slapped me to the floor in front of
everyone.
They disowned me right then and there.
Even my fiancé, Pete, who I grew up with and always protected me, sent me to the bed of
my family’s rival.
I wanted to blame it all on the accident, to keep living in my bubble of denial.
But then, the guy in the bed showed me a video of them.
“If Ashley finds out we’re faking the amnesia,
she’ll hate us forever.”
“It’s okay Susio Movie
<
“It’s okay. Susie May’s parents did our family
a solid. Once we save her life, we can sweet-
talk Ashley back.”
“It’s for the best. It’ll show Ashley that she’s
only happy when she’s with us. That way she
won’t keep talking about being independent
and leaving us.”
“Once Susie May’s feeling better, we’ll find a way to get our memories back. Ashley won’t have any choice but to forgive us.”
All this pain I was going through was orchestrated by the people who claimed to
love me.
Later, when the four of them told the kidnappers to use me to exchange for Susie May’s safety, I stopped fighting
<
I jumped into the ocean.
From that moment on, I, Ashley Sullivan, owed
them nothing.
My face was swollen and red, I lay on the
floor.
My eyes were empty, staring at the silhouette
in front of the window.
“You’re lying, right? You have a beef with
Pete, so you made this video to frame them!”
Jeremiah didn’t turn around for a long time,
until I threw my phone.
It shattered against the wall.
L
He gave a scoff and came towards me.
“Do you really think they care about you
anymore?”
“You’re not even a drop in the bucket to
Susie May now. I’m just trying to do you a
solid here.”
Jeremiah’s words stunned me, and tears
streamed down my face.
He was right. I wasn’t useful to them
anymore.
Just then, someone started pounding on the
door.
After a short pause, a bunch of security
<
guards busted through, surrounding the
person in the middle.
It was my fiancé, Pete, the one who used to
spoil me rotten.
Pete always got what he wanted, but he
treated me like a princess.
He spent millions building me a dreamhouse.
When I had a cold and said I wanted to see
snow, he sent private jets to bring the first
snow from Canada to our house just to make
me smile.
But this guy, who used to hold me in the palm
of his hand, had thrown me into Jeremiah’s arms three hours ago at my birthday party.
く
In front of all those guests.
He only left me with this: “Here, take this girl.
I’m done with her. I’ve been sick of her for
years.”
The guy who would freak out if he didn’t see
me for a day was now giving me and
Jeremiah a cold, hard look.
He ordered the guards to tie me up.
I stood up unsteadily, but Jeremiah stepped in front of me to protect me.
“What’s this? Did she warm your bed up so good that you won’t give her to me?”
“You did what you needed to do, the rest is

Jeremiah gave me one last look and walked
away.
Pete’s face darkened.
He looked at my torn clothes.
He grabbed my throat, and I stumbled back.
“What did you do with him!”
“Susie May is in the hospital, fighting for her
life, and you’re here sleeping around with this guy! Have you no shame!”
My face was red, but I smirked at Pete.
“Didn’t you send me to his bed? What do you
think we did?”
“Why should I care what happens to Susie
May? You kicked me out and said Susie May
is your only daughter now!”
Pete stared down at me with a sneer.
“You brought this on yourself. Susie May isn’t
doing so great, and you had to have a
birthday party. You just wanted to make her
feel bad.”
“We heard from the hospital. You’re lucky you can donate a kidney to Susie May.”
I thought about the video Jeremiah had
shown me, my heart sank.
I spent every night begging that they would
get their memories back.
<
But I received the cruel truth instead.
Pete grabbed my arm and started dragging
me towards the door.
My stomach started to hurt a bit.
“Pete! I’m pregnant! I can’t donate a kidney,
it’ll put me and the baby in danger!”
The temperature in the room dropped to zero.
Pete threw me to the ground.
My head hit the corner of a table.
He didn’t even look at me.
“Pregnant? Who knows who the father is. You seemed to be having a good time with
L
“A bastard kid, who cares? You can donate a
kidney. You won’t die.”
“Your kid can help Susie May. They should be
happy about that.”
Blood dripped from my forehead into my
eyes, and I felt hopeless.
Since Susie May showed up, it was like all the love I once had was just a dream.
The man who would freak out when I got a paper cut was now talking about trading my life for someone else’s.
I laughed in the face of the man who wouldn’t even look at me.
く
“Pete, you sure you won’t regret this?”
Pete tensed, but then he pushed down the
fear that was growing inside of him.
He signaled to the guards and taunted me.
“Regret? Ashley, don’t flatter yourself.”
