Chapter 11
Before I went inside the elevator, Pete pulled
my arm.
“If getting revenge makes you happy, then
you can get your revenge on me.”
“Please, don’t treat me like I don’t exist? I am
begging you, don’t act like you can’t see me.”
<
“Or do you really like Jere…”
I hit him with my bag.
His lips were swollen.
I scoffed.
“You dare mention him?”
“Pete, there was nothing with me and him and
so you didn’t believe me, Now you pretend to
be all lovey–dovey? What a grosser thing for
you to do.”
Before I turned around, Pete got down and
kneeled in front of the patient.
He pulled out a knife out of thin air.
“I am sorry! Forgive me, please!”
Pete started stabbing his stomach.
“You suffer, and I will know how you are
feeling, can you just forgive me?”
I watched Pete bleeding. The man was just
gross.
I saw the Johnsons far away.
I walked up to Pete and smiled.
“Soon, the Johnsons will give up on you.”
I stepped on Pete’s hand,
Then, I went to the elevator.
Г
Before the door closed,
I saw the Johnsons rush over and slap Pete’s
face.
“You embarrassed the Johnson name!”
“Get out! Get out of this family! We don’t
need someone like you!”
After a couple days,
The Johnsons announced that Pete was dying
and being sent away.
Pete’s dad was a player when he was
younger.
Without Pete, there were a bunch of people
who could take over the place
<
The day I took over the role,
I went to Jeremiah’s grave.
Jeremiah’s death shamed the Johnson family.
There wasn’t even a funeral.
I got his assistant and paid him to get one
thing.
That was a family photo that was going to be
thrown out.
In the picture, Smith was smiling.
“That’s why you knew she wasn’t your love. I
put her by your grave, just to be a thank you
to you.
I–buried the photo with Jeremiah’s body.
That was the last that Smith had in this world.
I finally felt so much peace.
It was like the sun was saying it loved me.
