Chapter 4
The next morning, Judy found me in the garden. As soon as she saw me, she yanked down the neckline of her silk nightgown, revealing a trail of hickeys on her skin.
“Isabella, it looks like Edward’s really disgusted by you,” she sneered. “Just imagine how desperate he must’ve been last night.“–”
“That video wasn’t very clear, but I’m dying to see it,” she added. “I heard someone left bite marks on you. Was it exciting?“N
Before I could say anything, she grabbed my collar and pulled it down. Humiliation surged through me. I shoved Judy away and turned to leave, but I barely took a step before bumping right into Edward.N
Judy hit the ground, and Edward rushed over to help her up, his eyes filled with concern. “Judy, what happened?” he asked, his voice full of worry.”
Tears welled up in Judy’s eyes as she stared at Edward, her voice trembling. “I just wanted to see Isabella’s wounds. I know someone who’s great with scar treatments, and I thought I could help her. But before I could say anything, she pushed me away…”
As he dusted dirt off Judy, Edward turned to me with a coldness I’d never heard before. “Isabella, why do you always have to fight with Judy? Let the past go. You can’t keep acting like a porcupine, hurting everyone around you. Judy only ever thinks about your well–being. What did she do wrong?“>
He picked Judy up in his arms. As he passed by me, he gave me a frosty look and said, “I’m taking Judy to the hospital. You can drive
yourself home.”
And then, he left, carrying Judy away.

After they were gone, I quietly slipped out through the back door. Alyssa didn’t say a word.
When I parked the car in the driveway, I got a message from Judy: [Isabella, you’re such a fool. I gave you a chance with one of them, and you still couldn’t keep him. Edward’s been with me at the hospital all morning, and I can’t get rid of him…“]}
She attached a video of Edward running around, sorting out Judy’s medical forms, the anxiety on his face undeniable.
I suddenly remembered when I was unwell. Edward always used work as an excuse to leave me in the care of hospital staff. Now, for Judy, who only fell, he was so attentive. The signs of his fading love had been there all along. I was just too blind to see them.N
I knew Edward wouldn’t be back tonight, which suited me just fine. I contacted a lawyer to draft a divorce agreement, signed it, and left it in Edward’s study, along with a recording from the private room involving him and his bodyguard.
Then, I packed all my things and shipped them to another country.
With everything settled, i got a call from Edward: “Isabella, don’t be mad about this morning. My brother’s away, and he made me promise to take care of his wife. He’s the family’s rock, and I can’t ignore his wishes. I’m at the hospital with her today. You stay home and wait for me. Tomorrow, I’ll take you to Europe for a few days to cheer you up.”
