Chapter 102 Abigail Was Never the Other Woman
“Caroline… What the actual hell is this video?” Natalia clutched her phone, pacing around like she was walking on hot coals.
The viral video showed Caroline and Felix getting way too cozy in a bridal shop, and it was spreading like wildfire.
Whoever filmed it knew exactly what they were doing. The angle perfectly captured Felix’s upper body and Caroline’s face without showing anything that would get flagged. But everyone knew exactly what was going down in that video.
Even worse, Caroline and Felix’s names were trending right there for everyone to see.
Then, the tea really spilled. Someone revealed the video wast taken during the same appointment where Caroline had tagged along with Abigail to try on wedding dresses..
Clearly, Caroline had played the bestie card to get close to Abigail, volunteering to go dress shopping with her, only to hook up with Abigail’s fiancé right there in the bridal shop.
This whole thing was a total trainwreck, completely savage.
The crowd’s gossip had reached fever pitch, with everyone side–eyeing Natalia and James like they were part of some

Natalia was straight–up mortified. She shoved Caroline hard, her voice sharp with panic. “Caroline, say something! Is this you
or not?”
“I don’t know anything about this, I swear!” Caroline was absolutely losing it.
She clutched her head in her hands, looking like she wanted the floor to open up and swallow her whole. “That’s not me!” she screamed, her voice cracking. “Someone’s trying to frame me. It’s gotta be edited or something. Please stop looking at it. Just stop!”
Unfortunately, no one was buying what she was selling anymore.
Everyone had their judgy faces on, acting like they were the moral police or something.
“It was totally her. Abigail even said Caroline stole her boyfriend. Now the truth’s out, and she’s still trying to cover it up? She’s got some nerve.”
Caroline wanted to claw their judgy eyes out as they stared her down like she was yesterday’s trash. The humiliation was eating her alive.
Natalia jumped in after getting over her initial shock. “Hold up. Don’t believe everything you read online. Those posts are straight–up fake news. Caroline and Felix are actually perfect for each other. Felix went after her, okay? This isn’t Caroline’s

Felix wasn’t even here. Natalia couldn’t bear to let Caroline take
all the heat.
Everyone froze, totally blindsided by Natalia’s little speech.
And Natalia, being completely tone–deaf as usual, just kept going, thinking she was actually helping. “Look, in relationships, there’s no such thing as ‘who came first‘. If Felix had a change of heart, why shouldn’t he and Caroline be together?
“Abigail’s the real problem here. She’s the one being petty and standing in their way. If you ask me, she’s the actual homewrecker!”
That was the last straw. Someone spat on the floor in disgust, snapping, “Oh, give me a break! How dare you spew that garbage?”
“The nerve of these people! Like mother, like daughter. Imagine being this shameless about stealing someone’s fiancé!”
Natalia was seeing red. She’d never been dragged this hard by a bunch of youngsters before.
Her fists clenched as she shot back, refusing to back down. “Am I lying though? If Abigail couldn’t keep her man happy, how is that Caroline’s fault?”
The crowd around them started whispering and clicking their Longues, not even trying to hide the judgment written all over

James was dying of secondhand embarrassment watching Natalia and Caroline get absolutely destroyed, but he had to try to save what was left of their dignity.
Before he could even open his mouth, a shadow fell over them. He looked up to find three massive security guards in matching uniforms looming over them.
The way these guys were standing, James could tell that this wasn’t going to be good. His heart dropped into his stomach. “Uh, is there a problem?” he managed to ask, his forehead creasing.
“Your invitations are fake. Get out. Now.”
The guard’s deadpan delivery hit James like a truck. His brain completely short–circuited.
Meanwhile, Abigail followed Marcus up to the private lounge, trailing a few steps behind him. They stepped into a seriously luxe private room that was totally empty.
Abigail’s emotions were all over the place as she stood there.
She’d always figured that while she might not know Marcus inside and out, she at least had the basics down. That should’ve been enough.
But right now, the guy standing in front of her might as well be a complete stranger.

Chapter 102 Abigail Was Never the Other W… What did she actually know about him? His name was Marcus. He had a kid. And… that was pretty much it.
Back when they had their whirlwind marriage, Abigail had told herself it was fine not to dig too deep. Everyone’s entitled to their secrets, after all.
But the more time they spent together, the more his mysterious act was starting to get under her skin.
It was driving her crazy–having him right there but feeling like she couldn’t see him clearly. That gnawing uncertainty was seriously messing with her head.
Even though Marcus had been nothing but good to her since they got married, it didn’t case the knot of anxiety in her stomach.
She just couldn’t wrap her head around it. Why would Marcus lie to her like this? Was he worried she’d go after his money if she knew who he really was?
When he gave her those bank cards after they tied the knot–was that some kind of test?
